General Overview

My home is located 7 km from Queilen (you can look it up like this on Google Maps), in a town called Aituy and which is 30 minutes from Chonchi, a town with typical Chiloé churches and 1 hour from Castro, the capital of the Chiloé Province. Public transport passes outside the house towards Chonchi or Castro, you can also visit the Cucao National Park and for which, you must get off at Chonchi and take a new bus that will take 30 minutes to the National Park. My house is located in the countryside, so a car is preferable, but it is not essential either, since there is public transport. Queilen is a perfect place to base yourself prior to the Carretera Austral, since through Castro (70 km) or Quellón (100 km) you can access Chaitén or Puerto Cisnes by ferry, at the beginning or intermediate of the Austral highway respectively.

The Space

My home consists of a living-dining room, a kitchenette, a kitchen, and two rooms: one double and the other with two 1 1/2 square beds, so I can receive 4 people comfortably. The kitchen has all the necessary utensils to cook and make the stay pleasant. For heating, a pellet stove is used, with which it will be much easier to heat the house, since you only have to turn on a button, which is very comfortable. There is also satellite TV with a full plan, with all the premium channels! We also provide a cell phone through which you can share the internet and take it to the place you want, for national calls and use social networks or google maps for your routes in Chiloé.

Honestly, I haven't had the chance to travel around the world as much, we've had more chance to receive guests and that satisfies us :) We always try to help the traveler in what we can and to make them feel comfortable in our house.
