General overview

Short walk to tree-lined chip trail, shops, restaurants, grocery store, Strand walk path, bike path, pier, our famous beach (known for beach volleyball) and farmers' market on Tuesdays. Two other piers to the south in Hermosa Beach and Redondo Beach, with more restaurants and shops with different vibes. Bike path runs 22 miles from Santa Monica to Torrance Beach. About an hour's drive to Venice/Santa Monica, Beverly Hills, Disneyland, Universal Studios and downtown Los Angeles. Available for use: bikes, boogie boards, skateboards, wetsuits, beach games, toys, board games, movies on DVDs, cable TV. Nearby are places to rent paddleboards, surfboards and additional bikes. Easy parking on our driveway. Many pro athletes (volleyball, baseball, football, soccer/futbol, basketball, hockey) live in our town.

The space

Comfortable, functional, no-smoking and clean contemporary beach home, entirely renovated. We ask that shoes not be worn in the house, other than the downstairs entry area, and that sand be brushed off outside before entering the house.

Mountains, desert and ocean can be done in one day, if you wished. Mountains and desert are each within 2 hours' drive.
