Neighbourhood

A calm residential quarter in which you will find some shops, a nice view over the mountain surrounding Chambery. The bakery, the butcher and the chemist are about 2 minutes walking distance from the house, while the dairy shop is 300m further. Do you really need more ?? ;-) If you're more into swimming, you can enjoy a short distance bike ride to the Lac Du Bourget or simply go the local swimming pool(800m). In summertime, it's difficult to miss open air music festivals and folkloric gathering in small villages around Chambery. If you come in the winter, in our region you will find lots of cross country (or alpine) ski resorts. The kids want to have fun : don't miss the walibi theme park, which is also convenient for adults !

Nearest airport

Geneva (2h by train) or Lyon international airport (45 minutes, train or car)

Getting Around

You can use the local bus lines to go shopping or use our bikes. The best solution is definitely to rent a car to discover the region.

We are a young couple with two children, aged 11 and 7, eager to discover new people and cultures, especially in Northern Europe. We traveled a lot before becoming parents. Now that they're both out of their "baby-time", we're back in business, so to speak!! ;-) We are open-minded people who are attentive to the good of others!
