lThe slogan of the village of Cusy is "In Cusy, there is everything you need", opposite our house, there is an excellent butcher and the market every Wednesday morning. In the village, there is a Casino, a butcher, a baker, a creamery, a tobacconist, a hardware store, a caterer, a hairdresser, a pharmacy, doctors, veterinarians, dentists and osteopaths. The slogan is true. If you need to do big shopping in Grésy sur Aix 15 minutes away, you will find a large express hub, a decathlon, a bricorama and casa.
Nearest airport
There are two ways to come to us by plane, either via Geneva airport (45 minutes) or Lyon Saint-Exupéry airport (approximately 1 hour).
Getting around
The best is to have a car, to be able to move around freely. Afterwards there are buses and public transport to go to Annecy or Aix les Bains, but there are not many of them. We are 5 minutes by car from the village.

People Like Us Local Guide
I would be delighted to meet people who are in the region over a drink or a walk. Or even to guide you.
We spent almost 2 weeks in Sophie and her family’s house and really enjoyed it! The house is in a beautiful area with lots to do, but we also spent lots of time enjoying the pool (and the kids played w all the toys). Sophie and Vincent had left a very good house book and lots of guide books for hikes in the area which were much appreciated (and the cute note from one of the kids!). So was the beer tap, the good company of the cat, to pick fresh eggs in the morning - and the sallad and cucumbers from the garden. Sophie was also really helpful to give advice when we needed a doctor. Thanks again for all the hospitality! Look forward to welcoming you to Stockholm!
What a wonderful experience we had, exchanging with Sophie and Vincent. Their home is spacious, comfortable and characterful and makes family living pleasurable. On a practical level the house catered to all our needs. It was a peaceful location, clean and very welcoming.
They left a very extensive and helpful booklet of household information and details of local attractions. Their communication was excellent.
The surroundings are lovely; a spacious garden wraps around the house and the views of the mountains are magnificent. The swimming pool area is very welcoming on hot days, with a seating area and loungers.
The house is situated between the lakeside towns of Annecy and Aix-les-Bains and Chambery is fairly local. You will need to drive to visit these.
Obiwan, the cat, is very well mannered and affectionate and was happy to welcome us into his home.
The Haute Savoie is a beautiful area and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience there.
We had 2 amazing weeks in Sophies and Vincents beautiful home in the mountain rich area of Savoie. We were 2 adults and 2 children and we all enjoyed the stay very much. They have a very nice pool and the views from the grounds are exceptional. Sweet cat Obiwan was a pleasure to look after.
Sophie and Vincent are perfect hosts, very well communicating and had made an extensive guide to the area which was very appreciated!
If we ever get the chance we will not hesitate to go back.
Thank you for an amazing holiday!
Sidsel and Hákon, Denmark
We really appreciated the exchange with Sophie's family. The house is very pleasant as well as its large garden
The region is very pretty to discover with not too high mountains. We enjoyed Annecy and its lake which is full of small beaches and welcoming restaurants, Aix les Bains and its lake too and Chambéry. The small surrounding villages also allow beautiful walks. Obeewan the cat is a cat lover
Sophie and Vincent were wonderful guests; they treated our home gently and respectfully and were always positive in their outlook (despite the record breaking rain!) We had the opportunity to meet at the start of the exchange, at our local festival, which was great!
Perfect guests! Have been taking great care of our cat and even the neighbours dwarf hamster. Left the house spotless.
Sophie and her family were very respectful of our home and kindly agreed to liaise with the other family that came next to our home. The exchanges with Sophie were very easy and full of confidence. We have discovered common interests over time! I highly recommend them
Maja and her family were great hosts! They took care of the house, the garden and our animals! We were able to communicate well with them during their stay with us, it was nice!
Our stay at Chez Emer et Kevin was really successful. Their house is full of charm, with sea views in almost every room, the bedrooms are comfortable, and there is a small inner courtyard protected from the wind which is very pleasant. The house is in the countryside but on the road to the Antrim Coast, a magnificent coast to explore and discover many charming villages, immense beaches, sublime landscapes. Northern Ireland has a lot of charm and its colors are very beautiful. Emer's family is very welcoming, present when needed and yet discreet. And Zeus, a friendly cat who was easy to take care of and who gave us a good laugh.
Emer picked us up from the airport and that was really nice. We were then able to chat with Kevin during the festival in Glenarm, it's a moment that we really enjoyed. Vincent and Gaspard enjoyed going to see Mickael at the hurling final. Communication with our hosts was excellent throughout the stay. It was the first year that we also exchanged our cars and it went really well! This exchange was rich in sharing, if you want to visit this country, I really recommend that you stay with Emer and Kevin and their children, you will not be disappointed.
Emer and his family are lovely hosts! They took great care of our house, our garden and our animals as if they were their own. I can only thank them for that because leaving my cat and my chickens is always a bit complicated for me. We are happy that they had a very good stay with us, it is worth spending hours preparing the house.
We enjoyed this home exchange very much. The house of Sidsel, Hakon and their children is very pleasant, located in a quiet area and located a few kilometers from the city center of Aarhus. We corresponded a lot during the exchange to give news, ideas for restaurants, visits... It was very nice ! We enjoyed keeping company with Candy the cat, who requires little care, just a little attention and cuddles. Danish life is simple and pleasant, we are delighted to have discovered a part of this country. Thank you to all this lovely Danish family for their kindness.

The house was completely consistent with the description and our expectations, pleasant; comfortable and functional. Located in a quiet village, the location was perfect for us 50 minutes from the beaches (Pornic, Saint Brévin) and near Nantes, Clisson, Montaigu, etc. who allowed us to spend great moments inland. We were also able to enjoy the Puy du Fou (1 hour away). what good times.
This was our first exchange, and we sincerely want to thank Armelle and Benoit for their help and their precious initiation which allowed us to spend a great holiday with the children. They were able to reassure us and accompany us in this first exchange. Thank you again and well done!!!
