Neighbourhood

Sunnyhills is a quiet and safe suburb tucked away in East Auckland. We are five minutes walk from the Rotary Walkway which follows the coast in both directions - great for both walking and cycling. The Half Moon Bay marina is a 5 minute drive away. It has a number of lovely restaurants and you can catch a ferry here to the city or to beautiful Waiheke Island. There are a number of nice city beaches a few minutes drive away, or a 30 minute drive takes you to the Beachlands/Maraetai area with beautiful beaches and coastal walks.

Nearest airport

Auckland Airport is a 30 minute drive except at rush hour when it would take a bit longer.

Sandra

We are a couple in our mid-fifties who have always loved to travel. Now that the kids have left home and we are more flexible with work, we would love to start doing more home exchanges. It would usually just be the two of us, but sometimes our adult kids might tag along. We are keen for short (up to 4 days) NZ exchanges for a long weekend any time up until the end of October 2025. From November 2025, we would like to do some longer exchanges in either NZ, Australia or the Pacific Islands (including Hawaii). In Australia we are very keen to visit Tasmania, but would also be interested in NSW, South Australia and Queensland.
