General overview
Our home is wonderfully spacious, comfortable, bright and cosy
It is in a very green neighbourhood near lovely walking grounds, a forest with deer park but near to Zurich and Lucerne
There is a great garden to relax in after a hard day's sightseeing or shopping
The space
Our house is located at the top edge in a highly desirable neighbourhood at the end of a cul-de-sac and has a stunning view over the countryside into the mountains. It has a special architecture which overflows the house with light and adds to the ease and comfort of the living area. Our home features a well equipped open plan living/dining room/kitchen area. There are 3 bedrooms, a study and 2 full bathrooms. You can use our gas barbecue. Car exchange would be desirable.
We prefer to exchange with up to 4 people. Since we have a cleaner, you’re not expected to clean when you leave. In return, we’d be happy for the same when we leave your house.

Neighbourhood
The community of Wohlen has all required infrastructure available, including several supermarkets, restaurants, playgrounds, an open air bath, a skating area with pipes, cinema and museum in a park, a great forested recreational area ideal for biking, jogging or long strolls in the morning sunshine. There is also a deer park and the “Freiämter Sagenweg” nearby. Bremgarten with its small but lovely old town and the walking grounds along the Reuss river is a 5 min. drive away. There is no need to have a car, the trains and buses are fantastic to reach all spots, but for exploring the landscapes it helps.
Within a 20 min drive you reach Zurich with its charming old town, the lake, the cultural sites and shopping opportunities. The Rhine Falls are accessible by car within 1 hour, Lucerne and the Alps within 45 min., Berne, Basel, Schaffhausen, the Emmental, Solothurn or Konstanz within 1 hour. Places of interest e.g. Castle Hallwil, Castle Lenzburg, Castle Wildegg, Vindonissia roman village all a 20 min. drive away, Castle Kyburg or the Technorama museum in Winterthur in 45 min. The landscape of Switzerland is marvellous, just take the small streets via Rapperswil to Appenzell where you can visit the beer museum of the brewery Locher or via Huttwil to the Emmental where you can watch live cheese making at the “Schaukaserei”. At the Hallwiler sea you can do windsurfing, stand up paddling, rowing or swimming in one of the lovely sea baths. Enjoy a boat trip at the huge Vierwaldstätter sea or try the fantastic “Weg der Schweiz” which is best for hiking in easy stages.
We love our home and our garden and we ask you to treat it like your own and leave it neat and tidy. Enjoy your holiday in this marvellous country. We would be happy for watering our garden during dry periods. Smoking is NOT allowed in the house but in the garden. Our neighbours are very friendly and quiet. We would prefer not to have loud parties out of respect for our neighbours.
Getting around
Next supermarket is in walking distance (about 5 min.). Restaurants, bakeries, pharmacies, doctors are plenty in the village (about 20 min. walking distance or by bus). You can get around by train or car. Next train station is in walking distance (about 10 min.).
