It is a bright house with spectacular views of the Tuscan countryside. Furnished in a simple but warm and welcoming way, the furniture comes from my family, grandparents, great-grandparents ..... Etc.
There is a terrace where I love to have breakfast and where on summer nights you can listen to the sounds of the countryside.
The space
When you enter you will find a single kitchen and living room. On the right a table, a sofa bed, TV and library. On the left are the bathroom, with shower and the bedroom with a double bed. Next to the kitchen there is the door to the terrace and a small room-closet where there is the washing machine.
Guest access
The house is all on one floor, it has no internal stairs. You get to the front door by making a small descent about 10 meters.
Notes
The village is pedestrian, you arrive near the front door only to unload or load your luggage, then you have to park along the road.

Neighbourhood
it is a small village on a hill (380 meters) built on an ancient medieval castle (the first news is from 1170 AD)
We are on the Etruscan Coast where you can visit historic towns such as Suvereto, Campiglia, Castagneto Carducci.
Within a 30-minute drive you will find the beaches of Marina di Bibbona, Marina di Cecina and the beautiful and historic town of Volterra.
In an hour you can get to Pisa, Lucca, San Gimignano but you can also easily reach Florence and Siena,
We are in an area that is also very suitable for walking or cycling in the woods.
The area is well known for wine, we are close to Bolgheri where there are excellent wines
it is possible to have tasting days.
Getting to my home
If you arrive by car from the north (from Pisa or Florence airport) you must take the motorway to Grosseto to Rosignano, then the highway and exit at Cecina north, take the state road to Volterra up to Casino di terra where you turn towards Sassa. After about 6 km at Gabella go up to the left for Sassa (we can see the village at the top on the left)
Nearest airport
Pisa Airport is an hour's drive away, Florence Airport is two hours.
Getting around
In the village there is a small grocery store, open 4 days a week (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday)
The nearest shopping center is in Cecina 30 minutes away.
There is a bus that leaves early in the morning at 7 and returns at 14, so I highly recommend coming by car.

Enrico
My name is Enrico, I have always lived in the city but a few years ago
I began to want to change. I was looking for a quiet place, close to nature and with another type of human relationships.
Here I found what I was looking for, I travel quite a bit for work, I speak French and a little English, I am a painter, and returning to the countryside is very pleasant.
