Neighbourhood

People come here all year round to feel the history of the city (which was not bombed during the wars), to visit the special brine baths, to hike or ride on the many hiking trails in the Lüneburg Heath, to go horse riding, to play golf (at the Lüdersburg golf course), to shop, to explore the exciting city of Hamburg (which many consider the most beautiful city in Germany) or to one of the many leisure or nature parks nearby. What else? Ask us, we are locals and chose this location because of the beauty of the city, the proximity to Hamburg and the many great activities. We can also advise you on activities and sights in Hamburg (30 minutes by car or train) or Berlin (2.5 hrs by car or train). Berlin is a two-hour train ride from here and definitely a must if you are staying in Lüneburg. You can drive to the Baltic Sea in 1.5 hours or take many other great day trips. You can also take the direct train to Lübeck, another historic city on the Baltic Sea. To spend a day at the beach, prepare to drive the app. 1 hour. But there are plenty of other natural bathing facilities around Lüneburg. What's not possible here? Well, this is certainly not a mountainous area, but skiing and hiking are the only things I can think of that wouldn't be possible here.

Nearest airport

Hamburg, 1 hour by train (direct from the airport)

Getting around

Our house is an 8-minute walk from Lüneburg main station. From there you can reach Hamburg and the airport in 50-60 minutes.
