Panoramica generale
We live in small village, Ittenheim, close to the European capital of Strasbourg.
We live there since late 2001.
Our house was build in 1986.
We own it since 2004.
Lo spazio
Our red house, 130 m2, has 2 levels.
First Level :
On the first level, the living room, dining room and kitchen form an open space area. A terrace is accessible through the dining room and the kitchen.
The living room is furnished with 2 sofas and a complete audio/video equipment. A typical alsatian closed fire place separates living and dining room.
The kitchen includes standard equipment (fridge, microvawe, dishwasher, electric kettle, coffee machine, etc. . . ) .
A first bedroom which belongs to our oldest daughter, Neyrelle, can also be found on this level. Her bedroom contains a single bed and is furnished with the usual teen stuff.
The first level description is complete after mention of separate toilets and a bathroom with bathtub.
Second Level :
On the second level are 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom with shower and toilets.
There is also a small mezzanine which is used as office. All upstairs rooms feel warm and comfortable by the wooden panelling on their upper part.
The first bedroom is the master bedroom; it belongs to the proud parents, Anne and Cyril, and contains a double bed.
The two other bedrooms belong to the children and share a commun balcony overlooking the fields. Each contains a single bed.
Nolwenn, our youngest daughter, has a nice bedroom full of various toys and girl stuff. Her room also contains a convertible sofa.
The last bedroom belongs to Gwenaël, our oldest child, with his collection of various teen rubbish.
Basement :
The cellar is equipped with washing machine, tumble-drier and freezer.

Quartiere
Our house is located at the edge of the village, surrounded by fields. The neighbourhood is charming. Our village counts 2000 souls with several remaining farmers. There are some typical old alsatian houses, restaurants and shops in the village.
Strasbourg, 15 mn drive away, is an attractive european city with historical center.
Visible kilometers afar, as in our village, landmark and axis around which the city organizes itself, the cathedral dominates Strasbourg with its height and splendor. The cathedral of Strasbourg stands on a large paved square since the Middle Ages. The "Petite France" is the most picturesque district of old Strasbourg. Previously the fishers', millers' and tanners' district, it is a haven of peace at the heart of the city. The alleys of the Petite France offer a succession of half-timbered houses of the XVIth and XVIIth century, with vast interior courts, large sloped roofs, and open attic areas where the pelts were once dried. . .
Strasbourg offers a large variety of museums and has a rich cultural life. To know more, have a look on http://www.strasbourg.fr/.
Other places of interest (non exhaustive list! ) are the national "Parc des Vosges du Nord" (http://www.parc-vosges-nord.fr/) , the "route des vins" (http://www.alsace-route-des-vins.com/) , and for young and old kids the local german entertainment park (http://www.europapark.de/index.php) located less than one hour drive away.
