General overview
We live in an older home in the heart of Niagara wine country that we have lovingly renovated, landscaped and restored. Surrounded by tall trees and meticulously landscaped, our home is truly our haven.
The space
You will have the entire (private) second floor of our home to yourselves. A large bedroom with a fully stocked kitchenette and dining area, 3 pc bathroom and large lounge room with plenty of room for relaxing, yoga or we can set up an air mattress for a 3rd guest. We can also provide a BBQ for your use.
Guest access
You will access the space through a set of stairs on the side of the house to your private balcony with a view of the vineyard and winery behind our home.
Notes
We welcome you to enjoy our firepit with Muskoka chairs for 7, our newly installed saltwater pool and our large 8 person hot tub during your stay! We do have a small indoor dog (toy poodle, he is hypoallergenic and rarely ever barks, we got a good one!). His name is Teddy and he loves people! He will not be in your space or left in your care - we just want to be fully transparent about as much as possible.

Neighbourhood
Our town is small and mainly made up of orchards, vineyards and wineries with a few nearby craft breweries and gin distillery. We are walking distance from the scenic Bruce Trail and Balls Falls. It’s a 24 minute drive to Niagara Falls and 34 minutes to the incredibly gorgeous historical Niagara-on-the-lake district. Standing at the end of our driveway you can see the stunning Lake Ontario where you can swim, fish, kayak, SUP and more! We have many excellent culinary options, including the highly rated restaurant Pearl Morrisette. In the spring we are surrounded by the stunning orchards in bloom - on our road alone you will find cherry/plum/pear in full bloom and it's simply breathtaking. And if you're wanting a unique experience, plan to visit when the lavender fields are in bloom! We also have beautiful sunflower fields nearby towards the end of summer. When I say we are proud to live in this small town, it's an understatement. We feel so blessed to be surrounded by such beauty!
Nearest airport
Toronto Pearson International Airport is 1 hour away.
John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport is 48 minutes away.
Buffalo Niagara international Airport is 58 minutes away.
Getting around
We have bikes available for your use, many wineries, restaurants and the Bruce Trail are within walking distance. For public transport there is Uber, Niagara region transit, a nearby GO bus station which connects with GO train stations. If you prefer to have a car we highly recommend using the app Turo. It's like AirBnb but for vehicles. We have used this before ourselves and found it very convenient and budget friendly.

We recently installed a beautiful saltwater pool, the perfect place to cool off and relax after a long day of hiking or visiting local wineries
Welcome to our home in Vineland, ON. We love to spend time in our gardens and on the property, making the most of summer weather!
We have a dedicated parking spot for guests in the turnaround driveway
This is the main sleeping/eating area in the studio. With a skylight you get a view through the trees to the stars above at night, and sleeping with it open means you fall asleep to the sound of the breeze in the large trees and wake up to birdsong.
The studio has a queen sized bed with luxurious bedding, a full length mirror, a closet for your use, a large tv and plenty of reading material.
The kitchenette is conveniently located within the bedroom, making those morning coffees readily available!
Equipped with a microwave, toaster, kettle, Keurig coffee maker, as well as a full set of dishes, cutlery, glasses, mugs, wine glasses and various handy kitchen tools. There are coffee pods, an assortment of tea bags, hot chocolate and popcorn stocked for you.
The perfect spot for your morning coffee or to sit and get a little work done during your travels
Between the bedroom and the lounge room is the 3 pc bathroom
The bathroom shower is equipped with lovely toiletries and has a handheld sprayer
This is the lounge area of the studio. A very comfortable couch, a table perfect for a card game and (not pictured) is a wide open space for stretching/yoga to start your morning off right!
A secondary space to get ready in the morning if the bathroom is in use
These French doors are the entrance to your space, they open off your private balcony (up a flight of stairs)
A little patio set for an evening glass of wine in the treetops. From here you can see the vineyards in our backyard
The pool area is lit up, perfect for an evening swim
Come make S'mores!
Enjoy an evening bonfire, we have firewood readily available to you
The legendary Bruce Trail (Canada’s oldest and longest marked footpath) is only 3 minutes from our home and just beyond that is Balls Falls, as pictured here.
With vineyards in every direction, you'll have a hard time choosing which wineries to visit and wines to sample! There are countless wine tours you can take part in as well, and each winery offers its own attraction. Ever wanted to do yoga with goats (and a glass of wine?) ... there's a winery for that! Love the earth-to-table concept? There's a local winery that offers incredible wines and restaurant, as well as cooking classes!
Blooming cherry trees go hand in hand with the arrival of spring. These beautiful blossoms are symbolic of a time of renewal, and the fleeting nature of life.
Fortunately for us living in Niagara, we have not only cherry trees, but a variety of other fruit trees with different bloom periods, which means there are a few solid weeks of blossom time!

If the stunning vistas of lavender fields are your thing, be sure to time your visit around the Niagara Lavender Festival! Here's a link to a blog post on local sites to visit - two of them located less than 10 minutes drive from our place! https://insearchofsarah.com/lavender-farms-niagara-ontario/
The joy that a cheery sunflower brings is only magnified when there is a sea of them as far as the eye can see! I've photographed my own children in the sunflower fields and they're some of my all time favourite images! Here's a link to more info - one of those locations is a mere 16 min drive! https://insearchofsarah.com/sunflower-farms-niagara-ontario/
If visiting one of the 7 world wonders is on your bucket list, you're in luck! Niagara Falls is only 24 minutes drive away and is truly spectacular!
