Neighbourhood

The house is located in a cozy and child-friendly suburb of Amersfoort. Amersfoort is very centrally located and the highways are within easy reach. The A1 motorway takes you to Amsterdam in 40 minutes or Germany in 1 hour. The A28 connects us with the north of the Netherlands, but also with Utrecht and the south. Our house is located in the heart of the Netherlands which gives you all the opportunities to see a lot during your stay. Amersfoort has a very characteristic and cozy center with many opportunities for shopping and entertainment. What is also definitely worth a visit is the village of Spakenburg. Very well known for the fish and the cake. On Saturdays there is an extensive market. In the summer months there are also Spakenburg days, where you can experience the old folklore. For nature lovers: Amersfoort is located in an extensive wooded area, the Veluwe, where beautiful walks can be made. In 25 minutes you are at Strand Nulde and Strand Horst, where there are plenty of opportunities for water recreation. In 45 minutes you can enjoy the Dutch coast.

Getting Around

Our house is located between two shopping centers: Vathorst Shopping Center and Emiclaer. Here you can buy everything from daily groceries to clothing. Both can be reached by bike or car in 5-10 minutes. There is also a supermarket within walking distance. There are also many shops in the cozy center of Amersfoort. On Thursdays there is a small market in the Emiclaer shopping center. There are many markets in Amersfoort, including the Friday and Saturday market in the heart of the city.
