Neighbourhood
Barnstaple town centre is just a 15 minute walk away and is regarded as the social centre of North Devon. The town offers a wide variety of high street and independent shops, bars and restaurants, and a theatre. Ideally located on the high street is the Pannier Market, open all year round with a wide range of stalls, selling everything from fresh local produce to flowers and crafts.
Local beaches are just 20 minutes away and include; the world famous Saunton Sands and Croyde beaches. Also Instow Beach, Westward Ho!, Combe Martin and Woolacombe.
The Tarka Trail is also easily accessible within a few miles. Also the South West Coastal Path, Exmoor and other delights such as Clovelly, RHS Garden Rosemoor and Arlington Court.
On the doorstep there are a handful of local play parks which cater for all ages and also walks with streams for the children to splash around in!
Nearest airport
Exeter airport is just over 1 hour away.
Getting around
Bus: bus from outside the house goes directly into Barnstaple town centre (5 minute drive).
There’s also a bus stop by the hospital (5 minute walk away) which goes directly to many of the local beaches.
For long stays car use can be arranged.
