General Overview
*July 2025 Update: I've moved to a new place that's even brighter and more centrally located than the previous one, so I've updated the photos and description of my listing*
Welcome to my cozy and inviting home! I've put a lot of heart into creating a warm, comfortable space, and I hope you'll feel right at home.
The apartment is filled with natural light thanks to its unobstructed views of the park and the open sky. Since it faces west, you might even catch a stunning sunset!
Québec City is magical year-round, and I’m sure you’ll fall in love with it just like I did. I’d be happy to share my personal list of must-sees, favorite spots, and (since I’m a foodie!) amazing places to eat.
My home is in the wonderful Saint-Jean-Baptiste neighborhood, a lively yet peaceful area with a true local vibe and everything within walking distance:
- Just minutes from Saint-Jean, Grande Allée, and Cartier streets — full of great restaurants, cafés, and local shops
- 5 minutes from the beautiful Plains of Abraham (pool, trails, concerts in summer; skating and skiing in winter)
- 10 minutes from Old Québec and its charming European feel
- Several bus lines right outside the building to explore further-away places like the Montmorency Falls
Make yourself at home and enjoy all that Quebec City has to offer from the comfort of my cozy place!
The Space
Fully renovated in 2025, the apartment is bright and welcoming. You will find:
- A spacious living room with a comfy couch and TV (Netflix, Prime), a dining area, a well-equipped kitchen, and a desk space
- One main bedroom with a queen-size bed and plenty of storage
- A second room currently used as an office, but I can set up a comfy queen mattress (with bedding) on the floor if needed
- A bathroom with a bathtub, plus a washer and dryer next to the kitchen
Please note: this is a strictly non-smoking apartment.

Welcome to Saint-Jean-Baptiste, a welcoming and lively neighborhood that dates back to the 17th century! I love its authentic neighborhood life, friendly residents, and perfect location. Saint-Jean-Baptiste is centrally located, making it easy to explore other great neighborhoods nearby including the famous Old Quebec with its European feel and look. I would be more than happy to recommend the must-see places and experiences.

We enjoyed our stay in Florine’s apartment living like a local. It is well situated so we were able to walk everywhere. Florine also made herself available to answer any questions we had.
Oh, we loved Florine’s place and she herself is so sweet and kind.
The night before our stay, we met for drinks and snacks at the bar in the Hotel Frontenac. That was so much fun. She is a delightful person and we hit it off right away.
Her second floor apartment was cozy and nice and had everything we needed. It is about a 20 minute walk to/from Old Quebec and is in a cool neighborhood- St. John-Baptiste. The area is replete with shops and restaurants and cultural stops. We loved it there and hope to return.
Seriously, if you are looking for a fun place to go, put Quebec City on your list.
We are looking forward to hosting Florine when she come to Seattle next January-February.
Thank you for your kind words - I am truly touched! I absolutely loved our evening at the Château Frontenac (bonus points for the Northern Lights, who could have imagined such perfect timing). I can't wait to see you in Seattle next year!
We just completed a magic stay in Quebec City at Florine’s home. Her place is cozy, well-appointed and has the perfect location for your discovery of one of the most fascinating cities in North America. Just off the historic Rue Saint-Jean, you have immediate access to a seemingly endless number of bakeries, restaurants, pubs, museums and historic sites. A huge plus is that, while close to the old walled part of town with its throngs of tourists, this area seems to be where real Quebec residents eat and live and it did not feel the least bit touristy or crowded. We woke up to only the sound of birds in the little courtyard behind the flat.
Setting up this exchange was a real pleasure as Florine is a great communicator and so kind and considerate.
Merci beaucoup Florine, we just loved our exchange with you.
Cheryl and Ken
Thank you so much, Cheryl and Ken, for this beautiful message. I cannot believe I am only seeing it now! I absolutely loved our exchange as well and am thrilled you got to experience the wonderful Saint-Jean-Baptiste neighborhood like true locals.
Staying in your lovely home and discovering Ottawa was equally enjoyable for me—I loved every moment of this exchange. Merci mille fois for your kindness and warmth! My home will always be open to you if you ever want to come back.
It was delightful to have spent an evening with Florine at our place before we went on our vacation. She's fun to be with and very communicative, meanwhile, she's very quiet, clean and tidy, the kind of guest that you'd love to have. Thank you, Florine for taking care of our home.
We had a wonderful time getting to know Florine during her two night hospitality stay with us. She graciously let us play tour guides for the weekend, cheerfully joining us for her first parkrun 5k and a long walk on a frosty morning. She was fabulous company, an excellent Wingspan board game player, and kind and patient with our silly dog AND our six year old daughter. Florine also left her room spotless. She truly couldn’t have been a better guest. We would love to host Florine anytime and hope our paths cross again!
We hosted Florine at our house for a few weeks while we were away on another exchange- she was the perfect guest! She took wonderful care of our house and our cat, and we felt completely comfortable with her. Our communication was great, from the first enquiry to updates during her stay, and our neighbor even commented that "Florine was as nice as the day is long." It was wonderful to have someone staying here who appreciated our cozy home and was excited to explore the Seattle area. We hope that our paths cross again. And for anyone who is considering exchanging with Florine, we can't recommend her enough.
Thank you so much for your kind words! I feel incredibly lucky to have had the opportunity to stay in your home and spend time with Jack in beautiful Seattle. This stay will be remembered forever! I hope our paths cross at some point :)
Florine was a wonderful guest in our townhome. We enjoyed some nice conversations but there was no issue when I had to go back to work in my home-office. She is quiet, courteous, tidy, and discreet. Safe travels, Florine!
Florine was a great exchange partner and she left our home in immaculate shape. We lent her a bicycle and that was also in perfect shape at our return. It was a pleasure to have Florine in our home and we feel like we made a new friend.
We truly enjoyed meeting and spending time with Florine! She is so bright, witty, and such a joy to be around! Beginning with our written communication, she felt like an old friend even before we met! We spent the first 3 and last 5 days of her 17 day Ajijic visit here at home with her. It was really hard to leave for our 9 day trip to San Miguel because we were all having so much fun together! We really got spoiled having Florine as our very first exchange guest. She is very responsible and conscientious. Talk about clean and tidy, after dinner she had the dishes washed before I could make it to the kitchen sink! Literally! All of our friends loved her and she was always up for any activities we suggested...like going on a goat farm tour, walking the malecon at sunset, or seeing a new performer in town. She has a true love for and appreciation of life! We can't wait to see her again when we visit her beautiful apartment in Quebec City this summer.
We so enjoyed having Florine and her friend at our summer Cottage in October. We were about to leave on a month long vacation to Italy but were able to squeeze her in for 3 days before closing the Cottage for the season.
All I can say was that she felt like family even before we met. Our emailed conversations were thorough and caring during the process of getting to know her remotely. We were delighted that her personality, respect and responsibility shined once she arrived on Bailey Island.
Thanks Florine, we hope you return! Our door is open for morning coffee when you do!
Your kind words mean a lot. Thanks again Jane and Paul for having us! Those three days felt way too short, but we still managed to have a fantastic time exploring Maine and getting to know you. I can't wait for more morning coffees together—whether in Quebec, Maine, or wherever our paths cross next (hopefully very soon!).
Peter and Layne were respectful guests in our home. They took great care of the place, and our plants seemed happy with them there!
We communicated well throughout the exchange, and I would absolutely recommend them as exchange partners/guests!
Thank you again, Peter and Layne, and I'm glad you enjoyed your fall experience in Quebec City!
I had the pleasure of spending an evening with Tim and Kemila before they went on vacation and we had a great time. They are both very kind and friendly people that I really enjoyed meeting, and communicating with them was always very easy.
Their beautiful condo is in the PERFECT location to explore Vancouver. You can walk to all the interesting parts (downtown, Stanley Park, the Seawall and all its beaches, Gastown, etc) and it's also very well connected to public transportation. Their building is very quiet and the condo itself is a comfortable place with everything you need for a great stay.
Thank you Tim and Kemila for trusting me to take great care of your home, I had THE BEST time in Vancouver and I already miss Stanley Park dearly!
I cannot thank Amanda and Lee enough for welcoming me into their home with open arms. I had a magical time sharing moments with them and exploring the beautiful Bainbridge Island. They really made me feel like part of their family, and I'm glad I got to meet their sweet and smart daughter Aila and their friendly dog Winnie.
Their house is beautiful, they have done an amazing job turning it into a peaceful and comfortable haven. It's also super well located on the island, so you can walk to all the interesting shops and cafes if you don't want to use a car. There is so much to see and do on the island that you will never get bored. It is truly a magical place!
Merci pour tout Amanda et Lee. I cannot thank you enough for this perfect weekend with you (and winning at Wingspan definitely helped make it even more perfect ;) )
We (all four of us!) loved having you, Florine. We hope you find your way back to Bainbridge Island someday... you will always have a place to stay here!
Jennifer and Steven's house is absolutely amazing. I had the chance to stay there for 4 weeks and it immediately felt like home. This house has a soul and wonderful stories to tell. And the location is great, between two dynamic and exciting neighbourhoods (Ballard and Fremont). It is also very easy to get downtown in just a short bus ride, or to explore the many wonderful parks and attractions that Seattle has to offer.
My stay was truly wonderful and I cannot thank Jennifer and Steven enough for trusting me to take care of their home and their adorable cat, Jack. He is such a cuddly little sweetheart! Although we didn't get the chance to meet in person, communicating with Jennifer and Steven was very easy and we seemed to have a lot in common. So I hope to get the chance to meet them sometime in the future!
Thank you so much for everything 🙌
Thanks, Florine, we loved having you stay here and keep Jack company! You really were the perfect guest. And we're still hoping to meet up with you in BC or even PQ at some point. :)
Adele’s home is beautiful, comfortable, and perfectly located to explore the best of Vancouver! I had a lovely time during my two-night stay. Thank you so much Adele for hosting me and for the great conversations that let you practice your already impeccable French!
I hosted Charlie and Sarah for a short two night stay and had the chance to meet them before I left for the weekend. What a wonderful time! They are genuinely kind, thoughtful and delightful people to get to know. Plus, they were excellent guests, leaving my home just as they found it.
Charlie and Sarah, I'm really looking forward to seeing you in Seattle!
To everyone considering staying at Janie and Norman's, please DO IT. I had the most perfect time in Ajijic. If you think the pictures are amazing, wait until you see their house in real life; the rooms and the pool are even bigger and more amazing than they look in the pictures.
In addition to having a wonderful home, Janie and Norman are the most welcoming, friendly, generous, and kind human beings. They made me feel at home instantly, and I loved getting to know them!
And the city of Ajijic is a wonderful little town, away from the touristy centers and perfect for a more authentic cultural experience while still being super safe and easy to get around.
Janie and Norman, thank you for opening your home to me. I had the most wonderful time and will remember this time in Ajijic forever. I already miss you and cannot wait to see you in Quebec City! ❤️

Finding words to capture my stay at Jane and Paul's is a challenge. They are incredible people, and meeting them was a stroke of luck! Their summer house, which bears witness to a lot of happy family memories, had an incredibly heartwarming and peaceful vibe; I could have stayed there for weeks. Jane and Paul, a heartfelt thank you for making me feel at home, even like part of the family. Words can't quite express it. Hoping for a rendezvous soon in Quebec City!
