Voileta and Mugur's home was absolutely perfect for our stay in Bucharest! LOCATION: Well-located out of the busy area, it was just a 6-minute walk from the metro, 8 minutes from a great supermarket, and a less than 20-minute drive from the airport. The metro takes you right into the middle of the city, and runs every 7 minutes throughout the day. And the walk to the metro and supermarket was lovely, down a beautiful tree-lined street. COMFORT: The terrific AC kept us cool during a hot hot August. The clothes washer and dryer were super useful, of course! Basically, all of the amenities you'd like, including a large-screen projector. There was absolutely no noise from neighboring apartments, which is always a treat. CARE: Violeta made sure we had breakfast food and staples so that we didn't have to worry about shopping right away. There was a lovely welcome gift. And it was obvious how much they cared in other ways, such as insisting they send an Uber to pick us up at the airport. I initially thought that unnecessary, but boy did it help! Oh, and they have an excellent home guide which answered all of our questions. I can't imagine a better introduction to Romania than having stayed at their lovely home!

Our stay at Violeta’s home was wonderful. From the very beginning, she was incredibly hospitable, organizing transport and even welcoming us with a lovely dinner. The apartment was comfortable and well-prepared, with thoughtful snacks waiting for us. Violeta is a generous and kind host who truly cares about her guests. Thank you for everything - we felt right at home!

What can I say about Violeta and Mugur that won't sound like hyperbole? They were AMAZING. I've never had an exchange with someone who took such care and helped so much. We had a non-sim opening the first week of August, and offered to let them stay then as well as for our sim exchange for the last two weeks of August. In exchange, Violeta offered to connect with our guest staying the second week of August. And she went above and beyond! We simply wanted her to exchange keys and put the towels/sheets into a hamper, but she washed them all and completely cleaned the place top to bottom. Then did the same when they left at the end of our sim exchange. It was extra impressive since we don't have a clothes dryer! I'm simply blown away by their care. We let them use our car (in exchange, they rented a car for us for a week in Bucharest, which allowed us to visit Transylvania, a lifelong dream), and when it had issues, they took care of them (I'd never heard of adblue, and of course it went low while they had the car!). And left us with a full tank of gas at the end. AND when Violeta picked us up from the airport, she insisted that she take the metro instead of allowing us to drive her to her next stay in Lisbon, because she knew how exhausted we'd be after a day of travel. And when they departed, they left even more gifts for us: Romanian chocolate and Transylvanian wine! I simply cannot say enough about how grateful we are for them both. And their kids are lovely, as well!

Violeta and Mugur were incredible guests. We were lucky enough to get to meet them in person before the exchange, along with their lovely daughters, and really liked them all. But boy we didn't expect how wonderful they'd be as guests! Not only did they take great care of our place, but also helped us out with an exchange that happened between their visits. They cleaned, washed all of the towels/linens (even though we'd only asked them to put in hampers), and went out of their way to meet the next guest with the keys. The amount of care that they showed us was simply unprecedented, and we are SO grateful for them! (We also very much appreciated how much they obviously loved the area! We feel like we found paradise here, and when our guests are demonstrative, it makes us super happy.)

Hosting Violeta and her family was an absolute pleasure! Communication was truly outstanding from the very first message - Violeta is incredibly kind, responsive, and easy to talk to. Violeta and her beautiful family stayed to our home for a couple of weeks. They were very respectful, very kind and we had good communication all the time. In fact, we consider them as friends, now. Hope one day we will also visit them in Bucharest,
