General overview
Charming three bedroom cottage with a separate two room (1 bedroom) annexe that has a small kitchen and bathroom, with a movie room that can hold 6 people. Right on the Thames Pathway (In fact, the river Thames runs right though our garden - albeit a VERY small river!) .
The space
All rooms refurbished over the last 2 years. Ground floor has a modern kitchen, new conservatory, playroom/spare room and a lounge/diner and loo. Upstairs has the bathroom, two double bedrooms (one superkingsize bed) and a single bedroom. New conservatory opens up to the nice gardens and new patio with a stream next to the garden which is the start of the River Thames. Excellent internet connection and 55" sky TV, Wii and X box one, Amazon Alexa, further TV in master bedroom, Logburner in lounge along with some wooden beams.
Notes
Our quiet black and white cat needs the occasional feeding and watering or can be placed in the cattery. Our car is also possible to exchange. Babysitter a few doors down is available at short notice

Neighbourhood
Very friendly area, rural as if you had stepped back in time 50 years. Walking distance to the lovely local pub (http://www.whitehartak.com) and to the small shop in the village. Our house is known as the "chocolate box" house in the village because that's what it looks like! Nice gravel driveway that can hold a number of cars. One hour to London by train, 40 minutes to Bristol and Bath and an hour to Stratford on avon and Oxford. We are very lucky to be surrounded by a number of lakes with a huge number of water activities. The Cotswold Water Park is ten minutes walk and has water skiing, boating and fishing.
Getting around
The town of Cirencester is 6 miles away and has strong roman roots with lots of artefacts and dates back many hundreds of years. Swindon on the other hand is 10 miles away and offers all the modern amenities - ice rink, cinema and the usual restaurant chains. There are numerous very good pubs with excellent foods within a 5 mile radius. We are about an hour from the nearest sea beach.
We have access to the local David Lloyd fitness club with two pools and a great gym - 12 minutes drive
If you are looking for a home in a wonderfully friendly sleepy village that gives you walks, sports and numerous cultural places to visit, but easy travelling distance to London and many other key historical towns and cities then you may have found your place.

We are both passionate foodies and have been lucky enough to travel the world working in the food ingredients industry. We have two lovely well behaved children, William (17) and Bailey (15). Phil is Sales & Marketing Director for an innovative UK food ingredients company and Clare consults for the food industry in product development and is currently in the final year of a masters in nutrition. We love experiencing new foods and immersing ourselves in local cultures rather than being tourists, hence why we love home exchange. We've just completed our fifth exchange, all of which have worked wonderfully well. We have visited 42 states - to complete are Alaska, Hawaii, New Mexico and a few of the north east states. Generally speaking we love the USA and anywhere that provides us with a new cultural experience around the world. It won't be long before the children fly the nest so we are keen to create more family memories for them! Our mantra is 'mi casa es su casa' - we will do everything we can to make your experience in the UK a special one and we will take care of your home as if it were our own.
People Like Us is the world's most trusted home exchange community. We believe in sharing, trust, generosity, respect, communication, equality, cooperation, honesty, hospitality, friendship, flexibility and adventure. We take pride in our homes and we care about the environment in which we live: our village, city, country and our planet. We care about the ethos of home exchange and we do it because we love the experience and the friendships that it generates.
