General Overview

We hope you'll enjoy our fantastic 1 bedroom condo in a semi-detached villa, which makes a great "home base" to explore all the sun and fun Portugal has to offer.

The Space

Step into your own private oasis with this delightful 1 bedroom apartment, featuring an independent entrance, nestled within a serene gated condominium. This well-appointed space comprises a comfortable bedroom, providing you with the utmost privacy and convenience. The compact kitchenette is perfect for light meal prep and snacks. Unwind in the cozy living room that invites relaxation. In the sleeping quarters you’ll be very comfortable in a double bed and dedicated heat/AC unit. The kitchen is equipped with fridge, stove, microwave, and laundry machines. The bathroom has a new large glass wall shower.

Notes

It's perfect for a couple who would like to stay for an extended period (2+ weeks). Minimum stay 10 nights. We request you to consider the option of professional cleaning at the end of your stay, for a fee, if we won't be there between guests to check the status. Neighbourhood

"Gilma Facho" is a gated community with stunning views, overlooking the Atlantic in São Martinho do Porto. The property itself is superbly located within the gated complex with many amenities. It is located between the sea and nature, with excellent sun exposure and natural light. The expansive, resort-like condo complex is surrounded by protected natural areas and the blue Atlantic sea. You can enjoy the three outdoor swimming pools, mini golf, tennis, football and basketball courts, social and party rooms with TV and table games, snooker and ping-pong table, squash court and barbecue, all surrounded by lush well-kept gardens. The complex is very popular due to its many family friendly sport and leisure facilities. People also enjoy it's views and proximity to the Sao Martinho bay which is only a beautiful 10 minute walk along the edge of the Atlantic. It is located in a safe, quiet area, the last buildings before the end of a Cul-de-Sac. Restaurants and bars are a brisk and beautiful 10-15 min walk into town where you will arrive in the up-market beach town. It is a very calm bay in a quiet family friendly town with plenty of restaurants and shops. You can enjoy many different water sports on this protected bay: https://www.staysilvercoast.com/watersports And of course we are central to so much of the rich history in central Portugal! There are 5 UNESCO Heritage Sites within an hours drive, as well as the famous Nazare big waves and so much more to discover. And all museums in Portugal are free for ages 65+!

Getting to my home

Fly into Lisbon airport, then easy to catch a train or bus to our home. If you rent a car, it's about a 1:15h drive. Bus and train times vary.

Lisbon airport about 1:15h drive. Porto is about 2 hours drive.

Getting Around

Sao Martinho is a small town, and easy to drive around, but you might prefer enjoying a walk with the ocean breezes. Shops are about 10-15 min walk. Great seafood restaurants are 8-10 mins walk. The main beach boardwalk in town is about 15 min walk.
