We are perfectly situated in a charming Irish village with a thriving community, just at the foothills of the Famous Mourne Mountains. Inspiration for The Chronicals of Narnia. A magnet for outdoor activity seekers: world class mountain biking trails, hikes for every level of ability, sailing, all water sports, rock climbing (indoor and outdoor) and an abundance of quaint traditional Irish pubs with fabulous food and Irish music hospitality. Only 1 hour from both Dublin and Belfast city. Ideal location for day trips to do city tours, museums and art galleries in abundance.

One spacious airy double ensuite master bedroom with views of kilbroney forest and mountains. One smaller double with princess canopy and views over farming fields. One childrens room with half bunk. Family bathroom with bath/shower and also downstairs toilet. One single bed in a large 3rd floor loft conversion room with ample space. Working from home office space and high speed Internet. Ample toys, books, family games. Trampoline and slide in garden. Use of kids bikes and scooters. Make yourself at home in a family kitchen/open plan diner. Laundry washer/dryer.

Neighbourhood

The picturesque village of Rostrevor is extremely poplar with visitors although accommodation is limited. Foodies will delight in the options available, all within walking distance. Several of the local Irish pubs in the village have regular traditional Irish music nights. This area is very popular with adrenaline seekers and active families. 🚲 world class mountain bike trails (and bike hire) ⛵️ sailing, kayaking, windsurfing 🪨 rock climbing ⛰️ hiking (long distance and challenging or gentle walks in beautiful scenery and great views) 🎻 tradional music 🍺 Irish Guinness ⛴️ enjoy the Beautiful Carlingford lough from the Carlingford Ferry, passing the lighthouse and hopefully spot Finn the 🐬 🛝Local playpark within a beautiful forest park with a great cafe within walking distance. This is the place to meet other local families with young children. 🎥 visit the Games of Thrones studio (30mims drive) or Tullymore Forest Park where filming took place. Castlewellan lake and Maze 30 mins drive. 📖 Irish history and story telling. A place of myths and legends. ⛰️ walk to the famous "Cloughmore Stone" to learn about the legend of Finn McCool. ❄️ visit "The Narnia Trial" withing walking distance. A beautiful family forest walk in the magical place that inspired The Chronicals of Narnia.

Getting to my home

1hour 10 mins drive from Dublin airport and 1 hr drive from Belfast City Airport. Train and bus links connect through Newry.
