Our Sicilian home is surrounded by nature, located inside a bird reserve where mornings begin with the sound of birdsong instead of alarms. The garden makes it a peaceful retreat, while the sea is just nearby — perfect for enjoying sunrise walks along the coast. From the house, you can also admire the stunning view of Mount Etna, making every day feel truly special

Neighbourhood

Neighbourhood The house is located in the bird reserve OASI DEL SIMETO, surrounded by the beautiful landscapes of the Ionian Sea. Within walking distance, you’ll find a local bakery and a small supermarket where you can enjoy a morning espresso. The beach is just a 2-minute walk away, perfect for relaxing in the sun or taking evening strolls along the coast. For nature lovers, there are scenic walking trails nearby and beautiful spots to watch the sunrise. The town centre is just a few minutes’ drive and offers several restaurants, bars, and ice cream shops. There are many opportunities to try authentic Sicilian cuisine – from fresh seafood to traditional pastries. For this reason, renting a car is recommended. Sicily is full of cultural attractions, and our home is a great base for exploring historic towns, charming villages, and ancient ruins in the area.

Getting to my home

Getting to the house The house can be reached by car in about 15 minutes from Catania Airport. Public transport options are also available, but having a car makes exploring the island much easier. Parking is available at the house.

Catania–Fontanarossa Airport is approximately a 15-minute drive from the house.

Getting Around

Having a car is recommended to fully enjoy Sicily, but local buses and trains are also available.
