We have a queen-sized air mattress with bedding if you need additional sleeping options. It would fit in the master bedroom.

Neighbourhood
We are only a couple of miles from downtown, as well as hiking in the Chugach Mountain range. We are also 2.5 miles from Tony Knowles Coastal Trail, one of our favorite places to bike or go for long walks or cross-country skiing! Nearby, Westchester Lagoon also has great ice skating during the winter.
Anchorage is a fantastic place, filled with so many things to see and do. We’re just a quick drive from downtown, where you can catch a show at the Alaska Center for the Performing Arts or explore the local restaurant and brewery scene. In the winter, you might even get lucky and catch a glimpse of the Northern Lights, painting the sky right here in the city.
Our location is ideal for outdoor lovers. We’re close to scenic cross-country ski trails and are happy to lend you our cross-country skis and snowshoes to fully experience the winter wonderland. During the summer, Anchorage’s endless days make it perfect for hiking – with trails that showcase breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. This place has a rugged beauty that calls you outdoors every season.
Getting to my home
The best way to get to our house is to fly into Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport and take an Uber or Lyft to the house. It’s a short 8-minute drive from the airport to our home.
Nearest airport
Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport; it is only 2.5 miles away, a short Uber or Lyft ride.
Getting around
Our Jeep Grand Cherokee (with four-wheel drive) may also be available for your use, giving you a safe and reliable way to explore more of what Alaska has to offer.
There are public bus stops a couple of blocks away, but to truly experience Anchorage and Alaska, a car rental is usually needed. The Anchorage municipality is larger than the state of Rhode Island, and worth exploring!

Megan
My name is Megan McDonald, and I’m married to my lovely husband, Rob.
Rob and I, as well as our five-year-old daughter Islay, have spent many years living and traveling all around the world. We met some amazing people during our travels, so it was only natural for us to open our home, too! Now, we have the chance to show everyone how amazing Alaska is and why we love it so much. We homeschool, so we can travel at any time of the year!
Rob and I have been together for over nineteen years, living most of it in Alaska. We run our business HuMu Media (a boutique digital media agency), together. HuMu Media allows us the freedom to have amazing worldwide adventures and last-minute road trips.
We are originally East Coast kids; I'm a New Englander from New Hampshire, and Rob hails from North Carolina. We met while stationed in Louisiana, volunteering at the Red Cross after Hurricane Katrina hit. I remember calling my mom a few days after I met him- "You met a guy? In a disaster relief zone??!" I can still hear her incredulous voice. What a way to know the guy you're dating is a good guy! He was down there in the trenches with me, and the fact that we met over a mutual passion for helping other people set us on the path we're on today.
My husband and I share an intense love of travel, new experiences, and meeting wonderful people worldwide.
