Neighbourhood
We are facing a lake which allows very pleasant walks, a beach volleyball court and a sailing club, as well as a tree climbing course for the more athletic! We live in a very pleasant area, both close to nature (nearby cycle paths to get to the city center) and close to the roads allowing you to reach the city of Tours (in 10 min) and its surroundings (we have many world famous castles and gardens within an hour). Our region is part of the Loire Valley, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. There are a lot of picturesque places to visit and the gastronomy is very present (specialties of goat cheese, nougat and rillettes)
Finally, Paris is one hour from us by train if you feel like visiting the capital.
Getting to my home
You can come by car (it's the easiest), otherwise the nearest airports are Paris, Nantes or Rennes (about 2 hours by road then or train (TGV from Paris)
Nearest airport
Paris (250 km)
Nantes (250km)
Rennes (300 km)
Getting around
Shops are 20 min walk and 5 min walk (supermarket, bakery, pharmacy).
There is a bus stop for Tours 2 min walk from the house.

We are a couple of 56 and 59 years old. I am a high school teacher and my husband is an insurance broker and professional photographer. We have two adult daughters, one of whom enjoys traveling with us. We exchanged our house several years ago (6 great exchanges in Europe, USA and Canada) and want to do it again because we really enjoyed the experience. We like to travel and discover the country from the inside thanks to the advice of our exchanger friends. We live in a region very rich in tourist and historical places but also in walks and will be delighted to guide you according to your expectations.
