General Overview

It has magnificent views and perfect location . Close to downtown. Perfect hiking trails right behind the house. 10 minutes walk to the lake and all downtown summer activities. 
House is very spacious , lots of windows. Bright and nice garden. It base cover deck and also has open deck at the back yard.  Amazing neighborhood with dead end street. Safe for kids play. Very quiet neighborhood.
Open plan kitchen and dining room. 1 large room with unsuite bathroom, 1 super large bedroom and one nice double room another bathroom with two sink and shower. One large office with amazing views.

We had a wonderful stay in Leila's home. The view! I also loved the spaciousness of the home. It was a quick 5 minute drive down the hill to the conference center. Well appointed home, clean, and very welcoming and comfortable. Highly recommended!

Leila's home was so comfortable, clean and beautifully furnished. The house is very spacious. My son really enjoyed the kids room. The views of Kelowna were lovely and the neighborhood is peaceful. Staying in Carter, Steve, and Oberon’s home was truly one of the highlights of our New York trip. From the moment we arrived, we felt incredibly welcomed and comfortable. Their flat is absolutely beautiful — full of character, warmth, and thoughtful details. The art, frames, mid-century modern furniture, gorgeous flooring, and exposed brick wall made the space feel so unique and cozy. You could truly tell every piece had been chosen with love. The location was simply perfect — walkable to so much, incredibly convenient for the subway and airport access, and yet the flat was surprisingly spacious, which felt like such a luxury in New York. We especially appreciated the kindness, flexibility, and trust Carter and Steve showed in welcoming our family — including our twin 10-year-old boys — into their beautiful home and trusting us with easygoing Oberon. Their flexibility with an early check-in and thoughtfulness during our short stay meant so much to us. It genuinely felt less like an exchange and more like being welcomed by people we had known for a long time. With so many people they could have chosen for a home exchange, we feel very lucky and grateful they chose us. We truly hope they’ll come visit us in Kelowna BC anytime — they’ll always be warmly welcomed.

This was a non-simultaneous exchange, so Carter and Steve have not yet stayed in our home in Kelowna. ( my bad to tick Sim instead of non sim 🙈sorry ) We are very grateful they accepted us into their beautiful New York home, and we truly look forward to welcoming them in the future so we can complete the exchange then.

Myself and my 8 years old boys had two weeks of lovely time in Geneviève and André’s apartment in Canet . My husband had to stay home due to his work schedule. Their home was perfectly prepared for our arrival with beautiful welcome gifts basket and drink holder with Paris 24 to keep for many years to come . Communication was very easy all the way through and any questions we had were answered quickly even with time differences. They are just wonderful and I well organized and couldn’t ask for more. The location enabled us to explore many areas even though I didn’t rent the car , public transport was great. We walked almost everyday to the most amazing, clean, warm , shallow sandy beach. We did use the pool few time when felt a bit lazy . We had a day trip to Perpignan and Collioure ( must go ) My children loved playing with board games and watch TV after a full day activities. The apartment is modern, bright, super clean and yet warm and cosy and had everything we needed to feel very at home. I would really recommend an exchange with Genevieve and Andre and see this amazing place that not yet discover with lots of tourists:)) you can fly from London stansted , Leeds and Birmingham and many other places. Easy access from most of Europe with train or on the bus. We would love to go back in near future. Thank you so much for your kindness ,generosity and trust.

We started chatting with Leila at the end of April and subsequently communicated at least 1 or 2 dozen times 😉 after that either in writing or on WhatsApp video calls. These discussions with Leila and her husband, Ken and their 2 boys allowed us to get to know each other and to trust each other. As we couldn't make a simultaneous exchange, we came to an exchange agreement via a Globe. Leila and her family are now our friends. Leila was on her first exchange and needed to be reassured, but above all to be convinced of the benefits of home exchange. We now feel that she won't do without it. Being in Quebec at the time of this exchange, we were unable to personally check the condition of our apartment after their departure, but we are convinced that it is in its original condition. Thank you, Leila, for trusting us and we are especially happy to know that you loved your 1st home exchange. Geneviève & André

I’m very thankful for Susan to initiate the conversation. What a wonderful start to this journey. We absolutely loved staying in Susan and lovely family home. It was clean and bright. And airy. Beds were comfortable and felt being home. My boys enjoyed playing with toys that was available. We made sure put everything where it was belong to her little one don’t get upset:) we all know how kids are over protective of their toys ( some adults too ) lol We don’t even notice someone else was living downstairs. We had full privacy and the cover deck with BBQ was the best with amazing view of golf course, Mountain and big skies. Thank you again Susan, Cam and James for this great experience. I hope you enjoyed as much as we did yours. We can’t wait for our next adventure!

We came back to clean home and felt we never left. Everything was where it supposed to be. My husband is very clean freaked and I was worried he says something! If yes says oh wow this is even better than we left….!!! Tell you how amazing was to have Susan and her lovely family in our home. Thank you for treating our home like yours.

Our home is open and has lots of bright lights coming through with magnificent view of city and lake. Open concept with warm furniture. Lots of bedding and Netflix for lazy days or nights. 
We have a nice yard and we are working on it to make it more comfortable. We have hot tub and open deck for sun lovers and close deck for rainy, snowy time. 
We are only 10 minutes walk from lake and downtown but very far from busy roads. 
Hiking trails just behind our house. 10 minutes walk from Tennis court and 5 minutes drive from golf course. 
If you come here in winter second biggest ski resort in Canada , big white is only 20 minutes drive from us. 
We are family of 4, myself Leila, my husband ken and our twin boys Cy and Zack ( 8 years old ) we live in beautiful Kelowna BC, Canada . We love traveling and get to know different cultures, languages, architecture,landscapes, food and etc. I work for Aircanada and usually quite flexible with traveling and dates. My husband, Ken is a helicopter pilot .
We are very respectful and treat people and their space like the way we want to be treated. We don’t smoke, party and no pet. We love to take our kids and introduce them to the world we live in.
