Neighbourhood
NOPA (North of the Panhandle) is a vibrant neighborhood with dozens of restaurants and bars within a few blocks, from Michelin starred to hole in the walls... all walkable. The Independent, Fillmore, and Boom Boom Room nearby offer live concerts.
San Francisco is known for its micro-neighborhoods and you'll access something interesting almost any direction you walk. Castro, Hayes Valley, Fillmore corridor, Japantown, Pacific Heights, and Upper and Lower Haight are all less than a mile walk. Or enjoy the vistas from Corona Heights, Buena Vista, Alta Plaza, and Alamo Square Parks less than a mile away. Access the panhandle and Golden Gate Park for museums, botanical gardens, and endless picnic spots in one of the most beautiful urban parks in the world. We recommend riding a bike to the beach through Golden Gate Park to appreciate the natural beauty of the city.
Nearest airport
SFO is closer than OAK, but both are easy to access.
Getting around
SF is a fantastic walking city (mind the hills), and you could get around just that way while here if you desired. There are multiple city bus lines within two blocks, including direct connection to trains, or street parking is straightforward in the neighborhood.
