General Overview
Aguadulce is one of my favourite places in the whole world and this apartment was my home base whilst I travelled around the world for several years. Check out a video of Aguadulce (and the apartment block, here: https://vimeo.com/94331837 )
Almeria is considered the 'bread basket of Europe' as a huge percentage of the vegetables are grown here. Almeria receives more sunlight than any other part of Europe and has it's own micro-climate.
The Space
Luxury 1 bedroom penthouse in exclusive development with stunning sea views. 300 meters from the sea. Stunning pool and padel courts (equipment available).
Great selection of tapas bars and gym (not owned by the apartment complex) in the same building.

The apartment is on the top floor (attic) and there is a large lift.
There is a second private balcony above the apartment which is accessed via a tight staircase.

Aguadulce is one of my favourite places in the whole world and this apartment was my home base whilst I travelled around the world for several years. It's a beautiful little town with miles and miles of amazing beaches. The food is some of the best I've ever eaten and all incredibly affordable.
The summer months (End of June to beginning of September) things get a bit wild as all the Spanish flock here for their vacations. But then it drops off suddenly and normality returns for the rest of the year. Even in the winter months it's still very sunny and never gets cold (for an English person at least)

Malaga and Granada are both two hours away by car. You can take a day trip and go skiing/snowboarding in Sierra Nevada. There's also great Kite-surfing spots close to the apartment if that's your thing.

Miles and miles of beautiful beaches, funky beach bars, a busy tourist port and loads and loads of tapas restaurants of many kinds (mexican, argentinian, peruvian etc etc).
Getting to my home
Aguadulce isn't the best connected place in Spain (hence why it's a diamond in the rough). Trains run from most major cities to Almeria but they're a bit slow.
Almeria airport has regular flights to many European and Spanish cities.
Nearest airport
Almeria airport is 30 minutes away, Malaga is 2 hours.
Getting Around
There is a huge supermarket in the same building as the apartments as well as three great restaurants. The rest of the town is walkable. Public transport into Almeria is okay but not great. Car rental is pretty affordable and there is a big underground parking space available for you.

Our family loved staying at Adam’s apt in Spain. It was a sweet small coastal town filled with down to earth people. We really enjoyed taking the kids to the beautiful sea every day. Also, shout out to his wonderful neighbor Mari because she really took care of us too. We would definitely return to Spain and do another exchange with Adam. He is kind, understanding, and flexible. If you get a chance to go you should. Thank you for providing such a great experience for our family! -
Adam’s Spanish apartment is incredible and we feel very fortunate to have stayed there. It is very spacious for a one bedroom, the bed is huge and very comfortable, the pool is incredible and the views were amazing every morning to wake to. Thank you so much! -
Loved this apartment and the location. The arrangement if rooms felt very spacious for a one bedroom apartment - plus there was the upstairs! View is magnificent. It was quiet yet we were on a busy street with numerous restaurants and stores for everything we needed. We made a few trips to Almeria also and the garage was very handy to use. The beach is indeed just a few blocks away. We liked it very much. -
Adam’s home is a beautiful as it looks in the photos! It has everything you need or want for a home near the beach (beach chairs, umbrella, kids toys, etc). It’s a quick 5 minute walk to the beach and is situated in the same building as a large grocery and a couple great restaurants. Adam was very responsive and very helpful. I wouldn’t hesitate to exchange with Adam again and look forward to meeting him and his family when they visit us in the summer :)

We're a British (Adam) / Peruvian (Gabi) family currently living in Lima, Peru! We have two boys born 2020(Dominic) and 2022 (Noah).
We both worked remotely so travelled extensively before starting a family. Now the boys are getting a little older we're keen to plan some trips!
We're very clean, quiet (as possible with two very active boys) and respectful of other properties. We rent our properties in UK, Spain and Peru on and off Airbnb and can share 100s of positive references! We're restricted to term-times.
