Billund airport 1 hour and 15 minutes and Copenhagen airport 2 hours and 20 minutes, coming from Copenhagen you will have to drive over a told bridge to get to Fyn.
Getting around
We are 10 minutes drive from Bogense town with all shopping amenities , restaurants and pubs.
We have buses going from close to our home, but they are not convenient and it will eat up a lot of time in traveling around.. A car is not mandatory but will make your life a lot more enjoyable here. So with all said we would suggest a car to tour around from our place.

We had an amazing stay in Mike and Majbritt’s house. We are very grateful for the offer of an exchange and would highly recommend their home to everyone. It was spotlessly clean and very well equipped with a pretty, private garden. They kindly let us borrow their electric bikes and amazing blow up kayaks too which we all loved.
The best bit about their home though is the location. It’s 30 minutes drive to the Nanaimo ferry. It’s an easy drive to beautiful lakes and countryside and a two hour drive to Tofino and Victoria. If you want to explore the island it’s centrally located. If you love nature you will love their house and you may even get a glimpse of a humming bird in their garden. We also saw a black bear and numerous eagles whilst staying on the island. We also had the pleasure of meeting them both. They are super lovely friendly people and very relaxed. If you exchange with their house you will not be disappointed.
Mike and Majbritts place is a great location for exploring the island and was a good base for us. Its comfortable and well equipped and we really appreciated the use of their e bikes and kayaks. We loved seeing the humming birds and enjoyed the deck and garden. The local town has useful shops and eateries and the beach has fantastic sunsets. Great communication throughout.
Vancouver Island has so many fab places to visit and explore. We recommend!
Mike and Maibritt's home is perfectly located on Vancouver Island if you want to see some of the whole island. Their home is cozy and well furnished and nothing is missing.
The property has a lovely enclosed garden with hummingbirds and birds visiting.
We immediately felt at home and enjoyed the lovely surroundings.
We can highly recommend others who want to experience Vancouver Island to get in touch.
Mike and Maibritt are lovely to talk to.
Mike and Majbritt stayed at our home for 12 days july 2024. Communication with Majbritt and Mike was very easy and pleasant. They left our house in perfect condition and even washed towels and bedding and also mowed the lawn. Thank you so much. They took very great care of our home.
We send our best recommendations.
Don't hesitate to exchange with Mike and Majbritt
Mike and Majbritt were wonderful guests! They were easy going, friendly, communicated well, and gave our dogs a few walks! They left the casita clean and tidy. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them!
Mike and Majbritt were amazing guests. They communicated regularly and left our house spotless. We would welcome them anytime again and highly recommend them as guests.
Mike and Majbritt treated our home perfectly. They looked after our house extremely well and when we returned the house was spotless and the grass had been cut. We also had the pleasure of meeting them. They are both super nice. They are definitely people like us. If you ever have the pleasure of exchanging with them or meeting them you won’t be disappointed.
Great communication throughout. Watered the garden during a heatwave and kept in touch. Looked after our home and were great guests. Glad they are part of our PLU community
Mike and Maibritt have been
It was great to finally be able to meet Mike and Majbritt IRL after we’ve been chatting during COVID times.
I was happy to offer them hospitality during their visit in Denmark and thrilled when it all came together.
Mike and Majbritt are as lovely in person as my impression was from our writing, very kind and easy going.
They gave my furry critters lots of TLC when they were at home and we spent some some cosy hours chatting away about all kinds of topics - super hyggeligt as we’d say in Danish ☺️
They were a pleasure to have as guests, they took great care of my home and left everything super tidy and spotless - you wouldn’t think this was their first exchange, natural exchange talents 👌🏻☺️
I can’t wait till I get the chance to go to Vancouver and meet them again, explore the island and meet Erk 🐈
Have fun, enjoy the rest of your trip in Europe, happy exchanging - and don’t forget you’re always welcome back any time!
We had a fantastic time here, only steps from the bus taking you easily to your destination and or train station, making it easy to do a day trip to Copenhagen.. The house is very comfortable and lots of toys to entertain yourself when home. Well furnished with everything you need including a sheltered outdoor eating/sitting area that we used extensively and even had the change of visiting with my siblings here. This was not our normal holiday with tons of touring, we was kindly allowed to call Ninna and Klaus home our home while we was in-between emigration and homes. Besides being busy trying to getting our new life together here in Denmark, we really enjoyed the many walking trails around in the area and beaches. They left detailed instructions in Danish and English so we could easily operate the house and find our way in the area.
We highly recommend a stay with Ninna and Klaus, thanks for a fantastic time in your home🙂
We had a great time in Jamie and Marcos Studio, perfect size for two people.
Our host gave some good advice on things to do in the area. It's a great place to explore the north of the country. But you don't need to go far to see wildlife. A short walk from the house showed us toucans, howler monkeys and a great variety of birds. This was a globe exchange. Thanks very much to our host for everything.
Before arriving Marcella was super helpful with any questions we had, the great communication continued throughout the exchange, very much appreciated.
We truly had a great time in Marcella and Mike's beautiful home, the pool was also great. Got to storm watch as the rainstorms with thunder rolled in in the afternoon, fantastic site with the view in the background.
Great location for exploring the central valley, Poas volcano and Orotino areas. Further away is possible too, but we stayed local because we had other exchanges in the area coming up.
We've had a fantastic time here. Ended way too soon.
We highly recommended an exchange with Marcella and Mike, you won't be disappointed 🙂.
Had a great time in Vicky and John's home, cozy and nice home with everything you need. With great doors opening up to a nice and private garden.
We enjoyed many walks in the area , especially Ashton Court. Many other great areas within driving distance.
We managed to have a great visit with John, Vicky and Emily before leaving their home. Throughout and before our exchange we had great communication with them.
Can highly recommend exchanging with them.
They treated our house with respect. Throughout the whole exchange we had great communication, making it easy to deal with any minor things happening. The home was left as agreed on, we felt sorry for them having to leave our home earlier because of problems with their rental car. They are a easy going family we recommend having as guest .
We had a fantastic time at Debbie and Mark's lovely house and in the garden, perfect size and with all you need.
We also exchanged our toys in form of bikes and kayaks, making it extra special exchanging.
They are in walking distance to a beautiful beach and a short drive to New Forest, places we feel in love with.
So many great places in easy reach to explore from their place.
We are highly recommending exchanging with them.
Given that we are doing multiple sequential exchanges we have to rely on our exchange friends to leave our place nice, so hearing from the next exchangers they left the place beautiful is great.
They also planned with our next exchanger timing for take over, a great help they all figured it it out between themselves.
Covid delayed all our exchanges but we had 3 years of great commutation with Debbie and Mark leading up to this exchange. This continued as we exchanged as questions arose.
To sum it up it have been a pleasure to have them as guests.
We'll start with saying you can hear a pin drop at Kirsten and Hans summer cabin, just a magic place.
We also exchanged cars, quite fun trying out their electric car versus our gas guzzling truck.
The summer cabin was great, it was stocked with everything you need. Good beds, some way too fancy for us coffee machine ;) , fantastic ocean views, most nights with horses in the foreground with ocean and sunset backgrounds. Easy access to beach.
Walking distance to beach and historic sites, you will need a car to further explore.
We loved our time in their home and would highly recommend it.
We started talking exchange with Kirsten and Hans before Covid, as with many of us it only happened couple years later with great communicating between us.
While exchanging we kept communicating with each other, things happened to be a little confusing at times. It was all handled with humor and in a speedy manor so none of us had to be frazzled for to long. They were the perfect guest and we would highly recommend them.
Lone and the fur babies was our first home exchange ever, and a great experience it was.
It was nice meeting and getting to know Lone a little better after talking for a couple of years via FB.
Great comfortable home in a country setting. Small town with all the amenities and great transit to the rest of Sjælland.
We had a blast and would recommend staying here.
Now looking forward to host Lone in return :).
