General overview
The signature of our home is a sense of welcome. Whether just the two of us or with friends or family over, there is lots of different places to hang out, to relax and to have fun. We love our little nature oasis in the front and back, sitting on the porch or in the winter, cozying up inside or by the fireplace.
Our home is on a quiet, tree-lined quiet street in a great neighbourhood with lots of places to walk and explore. Being central makes getting around easy on foot, on two wheels or by transit.
The space
There is a comfortable living/dining space on the main floor as well as a full kitchen with walk-out to deck, outdoor dining area & BBQ with small urban garden. There is a powder room on the main floor.
On the second floor there is a master bedroom with queen bed, a smaller bedroom with queen bed, a dedicated office space with bright west facing windows and a full bath with soaker tub. A folding baby playpen is available for a little one.
For the adventurous, there is a third floor loft with double bed and work area with skylights. There is a single mattress available to pull out for another person.
The basement features a family/TV room with comfy seating and gas fireplace, as well as the laundry room.
Guest access
Three stories plus basement. Lots of stairs. Stairs to third floor loft are a bit tricky and not suitable for seniors or small children.

We have a pack 'n play for babies/toddlers as well as a booster seat.

Darcy and I are in our late 50's with grown kids and a new grandson, who live nearby. We both work from home and love to explore new places when we can, about once a year, usually spring or fall. We are active travellers who like to get to walk and hike in nature, and to get to know a different culture and history.
People Like Us is the world's most trusted home exchange community. We believe in sharing, trust, generosity, respect, communication, equality, cooperation, honesty, hospitality, friendship, flexibility and adventure. We take pride in our homes and we care about the environment in which we live: our village, city, country and our planet. We care about the ethos of home exchange and we do it because we love the experience and the friendships that it generates.
