Neighbourhood
There are only a few full-time residents that live in the area so it is quiet and peaceful. Easy to get to many hiking trails, also skiing, cross country skiing, snow shoeing, biking, horseback riding, golf, fishing, and water sports (waterskiing, kayak, wakeboarding, stand-up paddleboard). A lot of great restaurants in the village, Tahoe City, around the lake, and Truckee. Explore the entire lake (3 hour drive around) or find a place you would love to visit. Rafting down the Truckee River, just 10 minutes away. Or catch and release fishing in the nearby pond. Reno is about 45 minutes and offers some great restaurants and an art district. Virginia City also offers some history. We can provide many recommendations depending upon your interest.

While you can get to the home via Uber, a car allows you to fully enjoy the area. The home is about 3 miles from Hwy 89 off Alpine Meadows Road in Olympic Valley.

Getting around
A car is required for easy access to Tahoe City (10 minutes) or Truckee (20 minutes), though free public transportation is available from Hwy 89 and Alpine Meadows Road around the Lake and to Truckee.
