Our home was constructed in 1908 and had been remodeled over many years. It’s an attractive and comfortable 3 bedroom, 1.25 bath one-story bungalow (1350sf) with dining room, eat in kitchen, comfortable living room and a wonderful backyard that is just made for a barbeque. We’re a bedroom community for San Francisco with great public transportation options. It’s a short 2 block walk to downtown Alameda’s restaurants and shops and a ¼ mile to Shoreline Mall and Crown Beach. Our neighbors are wonderful people that we have known for many years. This is a welcoming and safe neighborhood.

We have always been interested in home exchange as a better way to see an area. We have lived in Alameda since 1991. We purchased the house in poor condition and remodeled it over a number of years. We are in our in our late sixties and retired in 2009. Roy worked in the environmental field and Carol as an educator. We are experience exchangers.
People Like Us is the world's most trusted home exchange community. We believe in sharing, trust, generosity, respect, communication, equality, cooperation, honesty, hospitality, friendship, flexibility and adventure. We take pride in our homes and we care about the environment in which we live: our village, city, country and our planet. We care about the ethos of home exchange and we do it because we love the experience and the friendships that it generates.
