Meet for a drink/coffee to share ideas for the area, meet on my porch.
Nancy and Toms gorgeous home was one of the best weve stayed at. We felt welcomed and at home the very minute we arrived there. Nancy and Tom were there for the first night (as their flight wasn't until late the next night) which was really nice as they mentioned some things that was good to know and places to visit. It is a 4 bedroom 3 bathroom double story home which overlooks the river to the Canadian side, has 2 dining rooms, a living room, den and fabulous kitchen. There is a firepit out the back of the house where we had smores and the most gorgeous porch where we had dinner at sunset, enjoyed a glass or 2 of wine/beer and could of read a book but got distracted by the beauty of the river. We are a family of 6 (2 adults, 4 children) and were there for 5 nights and for 2 of the nights we had our cousins (1 adult, 2 children) also stay. The location of Grand Island is just perfect for everywhere you want to go. Only a 15/20min drive to Niagara Falls, where we walked the gorge, went on a jet boat, maid of the mist, the tram and walked over the bridge to the Canadian side which was also spectacular. You can hire bikes too and there are so many places to cycle. There are fireworks every night at 10pm which we can see from the front of the home! And the countryside is just beautiful! Go anywhere 1/2 hours any which way and you will be greeted by greenery, waterfalls, hikes, fresh water beaches/lakes/rivers. There is also Outlet Malls, Walmart, grocery stores and many places to eat to go and resturants as well including Adrian's Custard and Beef where we tried their famous Beef on Weck and finally Buffalo Wings!
We offered a globe but we hope Nancy and Tom will come to visit our home in Western Australia in the next few years 🥰
Amy and her family were a delight to host. They left our home immaculate as well as leaving us some special treats from Australia. I hope to visit them sometime in the future. Don’t hesitate to exchange with this lovely family. It will be a great experience!!
Nancy and Tom's home is very peaceful and in a great location by the Niagara River and only minutes from the famous Niagara Falls and the town of Buffalo NY. Nancy and Tom were very helpful hosts who provided us with lots of brochures and information on places that my children might be interested in. Highly recommend staying with them if you want to visit the Niagara Falls area.
Tom and Nancy left our house in the same condition they found it. I also really appreciated that they take great care of our rabbit and our plants.
Amy and Drew were incredible guests. Their 3 children were a joy as well. We spent the first night together around a backyard fire with s’mores which was so much fun. Communication was great. They left our home spotless as well as leaving thoughtful gifts from their homeland, Australia. I would not hesitate to exchange with them again!
We spent 4 nights in Celines beautiful home in Montreal. It was our first exchange and wonderful experience!. Celines home is very spacious, immaculate and has everything you could need for cooking and relaxing. She was very helpful with ideas of where to go and what to see. Located in a very safe and quiet neighborhood. A two mile drive got us to the metro which we used for our entire stay. I would highly recommend a stay at Celine's lovely home in Montreal. In addition to a great exchange, I feel like I made a new friend!
Celine left our house immaculate as well as watered our plants both inside and out. We communicated easily and enjoyed sharing each others adventures as they unfolded. I truly feel I have a new friend . I felt the PLU magic!
