Believe it or not, this approximate 9 acre homestead dates back to the early 1800s. Though the existing home is not the original homestead, the land itself has seen little change since the early cotton farmers settled in this area. Everything you see surrounding our home, used to be part of one larger cotton plantation. There are still some remnants of the old farm as you can see where the steppes were cut out of the side of the hill towards the back of the existing property. As the history unfolded in this area, Senoia and surrounding towns have undergone major improvements over the last 10 years. As it sits today, our Homestead Creek is about 3 minutes from Historic Senoia and the charm it brings to our community cannot be matched. Though today we are merely a speck of what the farm used to be, Kristin and I look forward to introducing new soil conservation and regenerative farming practices to Homestead Creek.
