People say it's like living in a glass tree house! Six densely forested acres, nestled in Ogden Canyon with a quarter mile of frontage along the Ogden River. Wildlife is abundant, with hiking, mountain biking and paddling right outside the door. Snowbasin, a 2002 Winter Olympics site, is a 15 minute drive. Other world class ski resorts including Park City, Deer Valley, Snowbird, Alta, Brighton and Solitude (checkout the IKON Pass) all within 75 minutes. The Great Salt Lake, Mormon Temple Square and the International Airport (SLC) within 45 minutes. Yellowstone, Arches, Bryce Canyon and Zion National Parks all within five hours; as are Moab jeeping/biking and Lake Powell house boating. We have a private trail that encircles our forest grove. It takes about 45 minutes to walk it and only our neighbors have access. We will leave a map for you.
The Space
We built the home in 2021. We designed it with 63 picture windows, essentially decorating the inside using the gorgeous views of the outside. Our home has 2700 square feet of living space, with a spacious kitchen featuring a gas cooktop and double ovens, dishwasher, disposal, fridge, freezer, microwave and lots of countertop space. Primary bathroom has a double walk-in shower, double vanity sinks and two private toilet rooms. We also offer a half bath on the main floor and a open great room. The guest bedroom is large with a queen size bed, a double-bed-sized futon and its own bath with a luxurious, oversized, heated tub with gentle water flow to relax after a fun filled day of skiing, hiking, biking or paddling. We have over 1000 square feet of deck, half of it covered. Everything is modern and pet friendly. We have two cats that usually travel with us, but if you have cat-allergies, our house may not be a good fit for you.
Guest Access
We have two floors with a drive under garage. The staircase is four feet wide with seventeen steps at a low angle. Winters can be icy so good foot wear is needed and this home is best suited to people who are reasonably fit. Our property is not accessible by public transportation.
Notes
We live in a forest and wildlife is abundant, occasionally there are bears, cougars, rattlesnakes and moose. Be cautious and aware when in the woods, especially at night.
We live in a small community with only 16 homes. People here are friendly but will give you plenty of privacy. You will cross a bridge to access the grove and the lanes are narrow and not paved.
Salt Lake International Airport is 51 minutes away. The drive is mostly on freeways.
You will need to rent a vehicle. And in the months of December through March it must be a four-wheel drive. Ogden City with hospitals, restaurants and all shopping is 18 minutes away. Three grocery stores within 10 mins.
