General Overview

Our home is situated on the southern end of the beautiful sunny Gold Coast. We live in a quiet, semi-rural area surrounded by trees and wild birdlife, but are only a 10-15 minute drive from some of the most beautiful beaches and popular tourist spots on the Gold Coast. We are close to world heritage-listed rainforests and fabulous cafes, bars, restaurants and shopping centres - anything you could want, really! The Space

A large self-contained studio on the upper level of our beautiful split-level home. It has a separate entry on the exterior of the home and offers you complete privacy. Come and go as you please! We are here if you need us, but you also never need to see us. The studio has a kitchenette containing a refrigerator, convection microwave oven, electric frypan, toaster, kettle and Nespresso coffee machine. It also has all glassware, crockery and utensils you may need to create a simple meal. It also has a beautiful large ensuite with shower, freestanding stone bathtub and double sink. It has split cycle air conditioning/heating, a queen bed, Wi-Fi and a 40" smart TV with access to streaming services. Best of all, it has a small balcony that sits amongst the trees overlooking all the greenery. It feels like you're living in your own private treehouse - you won't see us or the main house from up there! Enjoy morning coffee with the birds or a glass of wine as the sun sets. We do not have a pool but there are beautiful beaches and freshwater swimming spots only a 10-15 minute drive away.

Please note that there is one exterior flight of stairs (9 stairs) up to the private entrance.

Notes

The studio accommodates up to two adults. We will be living below you but we are very quiet and hopefully you'll barely know we're there. Please do not smoke inside or outside our home.

Neighbourhood

We live in a quiet, peaceful neighbourhood where most homes are on acreage. We see quite a lot of wildlife here, including plenty of native birds, wallabies, kangaroos and the very rare koala! We have two golf courses just a few minute's drive away (you can even walk to one). There are two very popular farmers' markets on Saturdays only a 10 minute drive away. The Gold Coast's coastline features a 57km stretch of pristine white sand beaches - even in the peak tourist season you can easily find plenty of space on our beautiful beaches! It is also perfect for surfing - we hold many world-class surf events here each year. We are a 45 minute drive from the four big theme parks - Dreamworld, Movieworld, Seaworld and Wet 'n' Wild.

Getting to my home

The easiest way to get to our home is to drive. There is a parking space available at our home for you.

Nearest airport

Coolangatta (Gold Coast) Airport is our closest airport, approximately a 20 minute drive away. Brisbane Airport is approximately 1 hour 20 minutes away by car.

Getting Around

You will definitely want a vehicle to get around as there is no public transport in our neighbourhood. However, with a car we are only minutes from beaches, shopping centres, rainforests, golf courses, farmers' markets, swimming holes - as well as wonderful cafes, bars and restaurants. Byron Bay is approximately a 45 minute drive from our home. Brisbane is approximately an hour's drive away. All the big theme parks are also approximately a 45 minute drive.
