We live in a very quiet neighbourhood, with very little traffic. A 2klm walk will take you to Glenelg - a beachside area of shops and restaurants, cafes and pubs. Our beaches are clean white sand with safe water and are uncrowded.
Dolphins can often be seen playing near the shore. Coastal walks and bike paths stretch along the coast for miles. We often ride our bikes to Henley Beach and enjoy a coffee at the cafes overlooking the sea.
Public transport is only a few hundred metres away both buses and tram. We are 5klms from the airport but not under the flight path so the noise is not a
problem. There is a supermarket, butcher and newsagent and a few other shops 200mts down the road.
The city is 11 klms away and the tram will take you straight to the heart of Adelaide with museums, art galleries, shops, restaurants etc etc. The central market in the heart of the city by the tram stop, is fantastic for all manner of gourmet foods, fresh fruit and vegetables, small goods and much more.

We spent an enjoyable week in Susan and Ian’s lovely home in Adelaide. From the moment we started to communicate with Susan, we knew that they were generous hosts. When we arrived in Adelaide and meeting Susan, their generosity was confirmed.; it was beyond our expectations. The home was modern and very clean with everything we needed for our exchange.. The location is fabulous, with access to public transport to the city and Glenelg Beach, as well as to a lovely little shopping centre where we had a delicious Vietnamese meal one night. Ian and Susan arrived to see us off and to take us to the airport. How good is that! Thank you. This exchange just sums up the spirit of PeopleLikeUs.
We loved staying in Susan´s home. The kitchen / livingroom are really spacious and there is everything we needed. Susan kindly arranged a welcome pack of information at our arrival (even a pasta dinner in the fridge), neighbours to assist with any eventualities, and information on her home. Thank you Susan for giving us the opportunity to stay for 15 days in Adelaide.
We had great communication with Susan both prior to, during and after our stay.
The house is situated in a quiet area just a few tramstops from the beach Glenelg. It´s about 20 minutes tramride to go downtown Adelaide and about 12-15 minutes walk to the tramstop.
Susan, Ian, Iris and Ross were fabulous guests leaving our home very clean and tidy. Susan communicated promptly prior to and during the exchange which always bodes well for both parties. Although we didn't get to meet, everything went smoothly and it was a pleasure to host them all.
Great exchange guests - good communication, took great care of my home.
Thanks , Gary for a seamless exchange.

You left the house spotless and all my pot plants survived, thanks for watering them.

Lovely, comfortable home, plenty of room for 4 adults. Spotlessly clean. Great location in quiet street. A short walk to the beach and shore walks. The biscuits Carey left were delicious too.
Thank you Marie Louise , for leaving our house so clean and tidy. It was lovely to speak to you and get to know you a little even if we didn't meet. You are welcome back any time.

We (Ian and Susan) are retired and love to travel. We have travelled extensively in Australia, mainly in the Outback as we love camping and caravanning. We spent 2014 and 2015 working our way around Australia and each year try to get away for the winter.
Over the years we have done home exchanges in Italy both short and a long term (6 months) in 2016. We have also done a number of home sits, all of which involved caring for animals. Helping a cow give birth at one sit was not expected though!
