Neighbourhood

Though located in a suburban neighbourhood, the plot is very well screened with trees and is very private. There lots of families in the neighbourhood and we often get the neighbours chickens come visit through the shared fence at the back. The beach is a 10 minute walk away. There is a 50km bike track about a 4 minute walk away and huge playground with a water park a 5 minute drive away

Nearest airport

Wellington Airport - the easiest way of getting to us is by car (Uber or own car). Otherwise, you can catch the bus 1 from just outside the airport to Lambton Quay in Wellington then catch the KPL train to Paraparaumu station. The train is a direct train and takes about 45 minutes from Wellington station. We're a 10 minute drive from the station to the house.

Getting around

We are an hour away from central Wellington by car, bus or train. Public transport is very regular but having a car means you can easily access other parts of Wellington/ Wairarapa. We are a quick drive or cycle (there's a dedicated cycle path) to Coastlands Shopping Mall where you will find everything - shops, lots of restaurants, cafes and supermarkets a 10 minute walk away. We can also include our car in the swap. The car is a 5 seater and we do not have any infant car seats but have 3 booster seats if needed.
