Neighbourhood

Though located in a suburban neighbourhood, the plot is very well screened with trees and is very private. Quiet, leafy and family friendly neighbourhood. With cafes, shops and everything you need within a 15 minute walk from our home. Melton Mowbray is very well located at the border of 4 counties - Leicestershire, Warwickshire, Rutland and Lincolnshire. It is the home of Melton Mowbray Pork Pies and Stilton Cheese. We have a farmers market every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. There are lots of outdoor and indoor activities. Rutland Water and twin lakes provides water activities all year round. The area is relatively flat and there are lots of cycling, walking and hiking paths around. There is a Wildlife Sanctuary where you can see birds of prey and even get to feed them! National Space Centre is a quick hop away in Leicester as is shopping if that's your jam! The train station is a 10 minute walk away and from there you can catch direct trains to Birmingham (1 hr), London St Pancras (1.51mins or 2 hr 7 mins depending on the train), Stansted Airport (2.11mins) and Cambridge (1.15mins). The are also regular buses to Nottingham and Leicester if you prefer the slow and scenic routes.

Getting Around

Easiest way to access us is by own car as it allows you also explore the best Leicestershire, Rutland and Lincolnshire has to offer. The rest of the country is also easily accessible by car, train and buses. London - 3 hours by car and 2.5 hours by train Cambridge - 90 mins by train/ 1 hour by car Lincoln Cathedral - 40 minutes by car and 1.30 by bus Nottingham - 1 hour by bus/ 35 mins by car Leicester - 1 hour by bus/15 mins by train/25 by car There are excellent transport links both bus and train connecting Melton Mowbray to the rest of the UK
