General Overview

Our house is a freshly renovated 4 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom family home with a spacious backyard and spa! Our property is 810m2 and completely flat (so no stairs). We are a quick 10-minute walk to the shore of Lake Wanaka which is great for swimming and boating in the summer. The ski-field lifts are a 30-45 minute drive away, pretty much as close as you can get in New Zealand. Nearby there are many world-class mountain biking destinations including Cardrona, Skyline and Bike Glendhu. Other popular sports in the area include Rock Climbing, Hiking and all lake/river-based sports. As an added bonus the surrounding scenery was home to many filming-locations for Lord Of The Rings.

  • My friend & I had a wonderful time in Wanaka at Tracy's home. It was super home-y and in a perfect location. We did not get to meet Tracy, however we had the opportunity to meet other family members during our stay. Geoff and Sam even made a fantastic home cooked dinner one night!

  • We were not able to meet Tracy or her husband as they were in Auckland during our stay but had the most amazing time with her two fantastic kids Sam and Amelia. Sam provided excellent recommendations for hikes and restaurants and Amelia made a mean chicken. The area surrounding their home is beautiful and they are only minutes from the lake. Thank you again for opening your home to us.

Tracy

We are a family of four but Amelia, the eldest child, has left to study nursing. Our seventeen -year-old son, Sam, has dreams of becoming the best freeride skier he can so he is hopeful we can spend time exploring North American ski fields. We live in beautiful Wanaka, Otago in the South Island of New Zealand. We love skiing, mountain biking, walking/hiking, and doing anything with the water. We are animal lovers but don't have any pets currently. We love exploring our country and others and making new connections through this lovely community.
