Neighbourhood

The house is in a pleasant residential neighbourhood with direct access to open green space and a play park meters away. Communications are fantastic, with a train station less than ten minutes walk that will take you into Edinburgh City Centre in 11 minutes. Bus stop is less than 5 minutes away, and so is the local supermarket and pub. The Oldest Playable Golf Course in the World, Musselburgh Old Course, is less than 10 miutes walk away. It is a truly unique course, sitting inside Musselburgh Racecourse, and it hosted the Open Championship on six occasions between 1874 and 1889. Musselburgh town centre is also nearby and you can find all services and amenities there. Dal Patino is a wonderful small Italian and East Coast offers great seafood and the best fish & chips in town. Staggs pub has been voted best pub in the UK and it truly is a local treasure, do not miss it for a pint or two of real ale. Heading East, the beautiful countryside of East Lothian, the Golf Coast, awaits. From upmarket seaside towns with lovely beaches such as Gullane and North Berwick to historic market towns like Haddington are on your doorstep and ready to be explored. If you are a whisky lover, Glenkinchie Distillery is 20 minutes by car. The famous John Muir Way goes right across Musselburgh towards Dunbar in the East, mostly off road so you can walk/cycle and admire the wonderful surroundings and nature
