General overview
Our 4 bedroomed house is on the edge of a small village called Witley which is in the Surrey Hills.
The space
Our spacious kitchen diner is the heart of our home, it is light and airy with all modern appliances. There is a lovely long breakfast bar for morning coffee, a sofa with a TV, an office space and lovely bi-fold doors that open out onto the south facing garden.
The garden wraps around the side of the house so there is always a sunny spot or a shady spot, depending on what you are looking for. The patio wraps around the house and has a covered pergola area with planting surrounding it. The pergola has a corner sofa and chair and table. The patio also has an extendable outdoor dining table set with 8 chairs. There is also an additional small patio further round with a small cafe table with 2 chairs. We are surrounded by mature English Oak trees and we back on to a beautiful common so we literally can go for a beautiful walk from the door.
The lounge is cosy with another sofa and TV and upstairs there are 4 double bedrooms, each with either king size or double beds. The master bedroom has a dressing room and en-suite bathroom. The ensuite and the family bathrooms have large walk in showers and are really nice fitted out.
The whole house was refurbished in 2019 and is in really nice condition.
Guest access
The house is set over 2 floors with a lounge, kitchen diner, office space, cloakroom, utility and garage on the ground floor. There is access to the back garden through 3 different doors!
Upstairs we have 4 double bedrooms, (2 of them are the teenagers bedrooms so they come with the usual photos, pictures and stuff that you'd expect in teenage rooms). They will be tidy and clean but will look fully lived in!
We have two bathrooms upstairs, one is en-suite to the master bedroom which you reach via the dressing room. Both have large showers and the family bathroom also has a bath. Both bathrooms have 2 sinks each.
Notes
We have 3 adult sized bikes (2 are full suspension and one is front suspension (hardtail) which we are happy to loan out with the house. We can supply locks for when you are out and about.

Neighbourhood
Witley has 2 lovely pubs within walking distance, both do excellent food and have a great atmosphere.
We have a train station on the mainline into London which takes about 50 minutes.
We are within an hours drive of several beaches, each with something different to offer.
The local area to us is stunningly beautiful, ideal for walking, hiking or cycling. There are many commons that join on to each other, you can go for miles with only having to cross one or two roads.
Many of the commons have a great pub within easy reach for that well-deserved pint after a good hike.
We are close to Godalming which is a small picturesque town (10 minutes by car) which has the usual shops and supermarkets. There are also some shops and small supermarkets closer to us.
Guildford, a larger town is about 20 minutes drive away.
Getting to my home
We are within easy distance of both London Heathrow and London Gatwick airport if you fly.
If travelling by train we are on the Portsmouth to London mainline but the nearest station is Milford (not Witley!)
We are a short drive off the A3 which is off junction 10 of the M25.
Nearest airport
London Heathrow (45 minutes - 30 miles) and London Gatwick (50 minutes - 33 miles) are both easy options
Getting around
We also are happy to let you use our car if you pay the insurance premium for it. It's old but perfectly reliable and seats 5 adults.

Sally
A fun-loving family of 4. Phil & Sally both work in London. Nina (20) is at university and Lola (18) is in the final year of college. We are a family who really enjoy being outdoors, beautiful views and going for good walks. Phil and Sally love to go mountain biking in the Surrey Hills where we live. All 4 of us enjoy good food and music. We enjoy visiting new places, whether it's in the mountains, characteristic villages, beautiful cities or the beach.
We have 2 young cats that come with the house so you'd need to be non-allergic and happy to feed the cats.
People Like Us is the world's most trusted home exchange community. We believe in sharing, trust, generosity, respect, communication, equality, cooperation, honesty, hospitality, friendship, flexibility and adventure. We take pride in our homes and we care about the environment in which we live: our village, city, country and our planet. We care about the ethos of home exchange and we do it because we love the experience and the friendships that it generates.
