General overview
150m2, 5 bedroom house in a small town of Selfoss in the southern part of Iceland. Pretty big yard with a hot tub which is fantastic to use in the winter time and watch the northern lights. Close to a lot of tourist attraction like the Golden circle about 40 minutes away in car. Our house is about 40 minutes away from Reykjavík and 1.5 hours away the airport in Keflavík.
The space
The house has 5 bedrooms. One room with a double bed, 2 rooms with 120cm beds, 1 room with a 90cm bed and a room for our 1 year old which has a crib.
Hot tub in the garden and some patio furniture outside. There is a washer and dryer in the house. In the garage are 3 kids bikes for about 5-6 year old, 6-7 year old, 10-11 year old and one adult mountain bike which are available for gueasts.
Guest access
Both doors to the house has 1 or 2 steps up to get inside the house.
Notes
We do have a dog in our house and even though he will not be at home while exchanging houses our house would probably not be suitable for people who are allergic to dogs.
For the past few years there have been volcanic eruptions which have been very tourist friendly and been about 40-60 minutes away by car.

Neighbourhood
Selfoss is a great town to be located in and traveling around Iceland from. A lot to do and see in every direction from Selfoss. Reykjavík is about 40 minutes away. Golden circle is about 40 minutes away. Jökulsárlón (Glacier lagoon) is about 2 hours away. Having access to a car is ideal for traveling in Iceland.
Getting to my home
Our home is about 1.5 hour from the only airport in Iceland. It is possible to take airport shuttle to Reykjavík and a bus to Selfoss but we would recommend renting a car for your stay.

Keflavík airport about 1.5 hour away by car.
Getting around
Supermarkets are in walking distance from our home. Minimarket approximetly 5 minute walk. Supermarket approximetly 20 minute walk.
Bus stop approximetly 20 minute walk. Local swimming pool and gym about 15 min walk.
If you have a car everything in Selfoss is about 5 minute drive.
