Neighbourhood
Schillerkiez is a trendy area with a nice selection of caffes, restaurants, bars, and a Saturday market. The large urban park Tempelhofer Feld is a 5 minute walk from the apartment, with other parks (e.g., Körnerpark, Haseneheide) also close by. Very happy to share my local recommendations for the immediate area and for Berlin as a whole!
Getting to my home
Fly: Berlin Brandenburg airport is a 25-30 minute taxi ride away, or around an hour with public transport.
Train: the closest rail station is Berlin Südkreuz but connections are also possible via public transport from Berlin Hauptbahnhof (central station).
Driving: there is street parking available though spaces may not always be easy to come by
Walking: the apartment is a 5-minute walk from the U-Bahn (Boddinstrasse) and a 15-minute walk from the S-Bahn at Hermannstrasse.

Getting around
Supermarkets and other shops are within a walkable distance from the apartment. Central Berlin is around 20 minutes via the subway (U8) or multiple bus routes.

Solo traveller - new to exchanging!
I'm originally from the UK so would love to find an opportunity to return for a few weeks in late 2024 or early 2025. I'm currently on a sabbatical from work so can travel relatively flexibly, though please note my apartment is my sole residence.
Living in Berlin I love travelling around Europe (especially via rail!), discovering new cities, cultures and languages. I've just returned from a big tour of the States which I absolutely loved.
Take a look and let me know if you're interested! Very happy to answer any questions you may have.
