General overview
The farm is one hectare and located in Pebble Rock Golf Village in northern Pretoria. The centre of the security estate is a 18 hole golf course and around it there are a few 100 homes. There are also a handful of small farms and ours is one of them.
We are close to the gate of the estate and even though we have close neighbours we dont see them, the grown up nature with big trees and bushes protects us from any outside interference.
We have big lawns and a vegetable garden but also a lot of wild bush, therefore the antelopes in the estate love to come in to eat and sleep on our land.
The space
The house is built in two stories with the main part being on the ground. In the lower part you find kitchen and a scullery with all kitchen machines you will need plus a washing machine.
There is a dining part, a lounge with a fire place and two nice bedrooms and two bath rooms. There is also a big covered veranda and a two car garage which is now part gym and part storage/working area.
On the uppe floor there is a big master bed room with a big bath room and a walk in closet. Outside the master bed there is a big balcony with fantastic views.
Guest access
The house have two floors and plenty of stairs so it is not suitable for anyone with a problem to move around.
Notes
We try to give our youngest son an international upbringing and education. Therefore we are looking for a long term exchange for at least a year. It can be longer if it is the right place. At the moment we are on Bali for a 2 year exchange using our penthouse apartment for the exchange.

Neighbourhood
Pebble Rock Golf Village (https://pebblerock.co.za) is located in the northern parts of South Africas political capital Pretoria.
The Estate is a high security fenced estate with one manned gate, 24/7 guards and patrols. It is very secure.
Next to the estate you will find the English speaking private school Curro.
Within short driving distance you will find all the services, stores and restaurants that you can dream of.
A major advantage is the Saturday farmers market which is about 15 minutes drive. It opens five o'clock in the morning (be there early to get the best products). There are 100s of stalls and you find veggies, fruit, meat, diary, cheese, bread, etc., etc. We do all our weekly food shopping here. The quality is outstanding och the prices amazing.
Roodeplaat Nature Reserve with its lakes is just around the corner and if you travel north on the excellent high way you will find a lot of big private nature reserves and national parks.
Nearest airport
OR Tambo Airport in Johannesburg is less than 1 hours drive away.
Getting around
This is South Africa so you need a car to travel around. One of our cars is a Volkswagen Amarok pickup. It is parked at my mechanic at the moment but might be part of an exchange.

We are open to travels all around the world, but at the moment we are on a long term exchange in Bali, Indonesia. Tempt us with anything from long weekends to longer trips in South East Asia and Australia/New Zeeland. Big cities, countryside and remote wilderness is on our travel menu.
We are also trying to plan the next step in our lives so from June 2025 we are open for a new long term exchange, at least one year somewhere in the world where our then 12 year old will find a nice English speaking school and a good football club.
