Neighbourhood

We are situated in the countryside, above the scenic Antrim Coast Road, overlooking the Irish Sea. My brother and his young family live next door and my parents live close by, so any questions you have can easily be answered. Glenarm, the first of the nine Glens of Antrim, is 3 miles north, with a shop, cafes, pubs, Glenarm Castle and Walled Gardens, craft shops and local artisan jewellers. Glenarm forest offers lovely riverside walks for all ages. Ballygally beach (5 mins drive) is our local sandy beach; perfect for an invigorating morning swim, or a spot of paddleboarding. Carnfunnock Country Park is 5 minutes drive, offering good walks, as well as playpark, cafe and lots of fun for the kids. Cairndhu golf course is a 5 minute drive, offering spectacular views of the coast. Local pubs serve food and offer traditional music sessions, We are 30 minutes drive north of Belfast, which offers lots of fantastic restaurants, historical walking tours, museums, Titanic quarter and lots of culture in the Cathedral quarter. We are 40 minutes drive south of The Giants Causeway, Carrick-a-rede Rope Bridge & Dunluce Castle. Kayaking, Boat Tours are available. The ancient walled city of Derry is 90 minutes drive. Co Donegal is 2 hours drive. Dublin is 2 hours drive. There are sandy beaches dotted all along the coast, where you can swim, kayak or fish. There are many golf courses in the area; lots of Game of Thrones destinations close by too. Getting around

We are happy to do a car swap. You can cycle to local villages, but to be honest, a car is necessary. We are a 5 minute drive from several shops. We are a 10 minute drive from several large supermarkets.
