General overview

Ideal for families or folks that want to dive/snorkel with tropical 🐠 and coral, hike the rainforests and see wild life such as monitor lizards and monkeys, enjoy the white sandy beaches and warm sea dips. Explore this gem of KK, Malaysia with local Island hopping, Karaoke with the kids if you like, dance with fireflies at night or chill by the pool with the huge dose of vitamin D by day. The food, the people, the family friendly vibes makes this special place worth having your list of places to visit. Our home isn't fancy, its practical and very family friendly. We have two double rooms that have queen beds, then the third room has a single bed + pull out single bed. 2x shower/toilet rooms + a wet /dry kitchen + general living space + dining area. TV with wifi . We also have a car available for your stay to make everything super convenient.

The space

We have three bedrooms, 2 of which have a Queen bed in and a room with a single bed and pull out 2nd bed. Two shower/toilet rooms. A dry and wet kitchen with washer, fridge freezer and gas top stove. An oven and microwave, kettle and toaster. There is a good sized sitting room with corner sofa, dining space for up to 6 people (quite small) and the flat has aircon throughout.

Guest access

Floor 10 with great views of the mountains and pool. We have two parking spaces and a car available for a stay.

Notes

its not a fancy hotel, its not a cosy cute cottage but it IS a fantastic location for family adventures that are eager to explore KK and return back to base with cool aircon and a dip in the pool. Everything a family could need for decent break that ticks many boxes! Theres even a laundrette on site if you want to hand over the washing and ironing before you fly home.

Neighbourhood

We live in a Condominium about 20 minutes from Kota Kinabalu city centre. Its peaceful and quiet with a small super market. A few restaurants including a pizza place and bar. We are really close to Inanam and a short drive from the forests, waterfalls, city centre, Malls and beach. There are resorts you can visit during the day that provide water splash parks and then theres always our communal pool and gym on site.

Getting to my home

You can "GRAB" a taxi from Kota Kinabalu airport which is apx 20 -25 mins drive.

Nearest airport

20-25 minutes drive.

Getting around

You can easily download the "GRAB" app that works efficiently across Sabah. Or we can offer our rental car as part of the exchange, there is a car parking space in a secure car park next to the building where it is kept.

Kathie

We are a British family of 6 who love to travel to explore new cultures and countries. We are teachers, currently living in Kota Kinabalu in Malaysia (stunning and unbelievably lucky to call this home), originally from sunny Yorkshire in the UK. We have family in the Netherlands who we love to visit annually so always on the look out for European stays over summer but also would love to explore our neighbouring countries! My kids are keen to go to Japan.
