The space

Enjoy a stay in the rustic Rockbound House. Relax, unplug and take in all that Maine has to offer. Located next to the historic Rockbound Chapel with breath taking views of the Eggemoggin Reach. Traditional coastal New England home! The Rockbound House is a rustic cottage originally built in 1900 that had been added on to room by room over the years . Some modern upgrades with lots of features from the original home. Our home has 3 Bedrooms comfortably appointed to be your home away from home. Two staircases, one off of the living room and one off of the side room lead to different wings where the bedrooms are located. There are 2 bathrooms, one on the main floor and one en suite in the master bedroom. The kitchen is equipped with a microwave, coffee pot, stove, oven, refrigerator and all the essential pots, pans and dishes. The dining table is on the 3 season porch. The porch is enclosed with windows and a door which helps with mosquitos but please note it leaks if it's raining hard or long! There is a separate Guest House above the garage that may be available as well. *please see The Carriage house or The Rockbound House plus Carriage house

Guest access

Guess we'll have access to the entire house and yard. The garage apartment is a separate space.

Tara

Hi I'm Tara and my husbands name is Wallace. We currently live in the DownEast of Maine where we are building our dream homestead in the backwoods. We're new to PLU but long time experienced hosts. We both grew up on LI, NY my husband was raised living in his grandmother's BNB and I grew up in the back of restaurants and eventually graduated to managing boutique hotels. When we met he was a live in estate manager and I was managing a hotel and we dreamed of one day working for ourselves. We set a 5 year goal and somehow the stars aligned and we purchase our first home that year and we started renting it. 1 year later we purchased a fixer upper motel in Maine. With a lot of hard work and all the struggles and sacrifice that go into making a business florish we were able to restore it to the destination it once was. We ended up selling our motel to purchase The Narramissic Manor, the most gorgeous piece of land and our forever home. We have a few houses in Maine that we do rent seasonally but are happy to share when available. Feel free to reach out and chat and let's see if we can make an exhange.
