This listing is for the main 4br/2.5bath part of our home in bucksport. We also have it listed here as the larger six bedroom which incorporates both the house and the attached in-law guest Suite. During the winter we house college students in our guest suite leaving only this main side available.

Guests we'll have access to the main farmhouse only as the guest Suite will be occupied. Both areas have their own private entrance. Parking, the yard and the back deck may be shared depending on the current occupancy of the guest Suite.

Neighbourhood

This is a very quiet neighborhood located near the Bucksport golf course. Our neighbors across the street raise a small heard of beef cows. They rotate them in the fields but sometimes when they are in the front field can watch them while doing the dishes!

Getting to my home

A car is highly recommended to enjoy the area. We're located about 45 minutes from Bangor international airport or 3 and 1/2 hours from Portland international airport. There are rideshare services available in the area but they are extremely limited and can be expensive to get from town to town as most things are spread out in the area.

Hello we are Wallace and Tara. We currently live in the Maine where we are building our dream homestead in the Downeast. We're new to PLU but long time experienced hosts with our family business DownEast Vacation Homes. We both grew up on Long Island, NY my husband was raised in his grandmother's BNB and I grew up in the back of restaurants, eventually graduating to managing boutique hotels. When we met he was a live in estate manager and I was managing a hotel and we dreamed of one day working for ourselves. We set a 5 year goal and somehow the stars aligned and we purchase the first home in our collection that year. We started the business while working remotely, hoping to move closer to focus on the personal touch we wanted to bring to our business. In just a year the opportunity arose to purchase an iconic motel in Maine it was a true fixer upper but if gave us the push to leave our FT jobs and pursue our dreams together. With a lot of hard work and all the struggles and sacrifice that go into making a business flourish we were able to restore it to the popular destination to what it once was. We ended up selling the motel when another great opportunity knocked to purchase what became, The Narramissic Manor, the most gorgeous piece of land and the spot for our forever home.
