General Overview

NOT AVAILABLE IN SUMMER - WE RENT THE HOUSE OUT DURING THAT TIME. Very close to the University of Rhode Island in case someone is visiting a student. Not available for Move-in, or Graduation. Welcome to our bit of Heaven here in Narragansett! Welcome to Narragansett! Our beach house is located just across the street from the Atlantic Ocean and one of Rhode Island's best beaches. If we are doing a simultaneous exchange, our very friendly, loving cat, Wyatt Binx may be your roommate. No parties. No dogs. We ask that our exchange partners limit the people coming to our house to their regular exchange travelling group. No additional guests.

The Space

Located directly across the street from the beach and Atlantic Ocean, our spacious, beautifully renovated beach house is the perfect place for a relaxing coastal getaway. The house recently underwent an extensive renovation, including being elevated onto a new foundation, creating a ground-level garage and additional covered outdoor living space. With five bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, two living rooms, a chef's kitchen, multiple decks and terraces, and a beautiful outdoor shower, there's plenty of room for families to enjoy everything the Rhode Island coast has to offer. Ground Level: Garage and Outdoor Living The newly constructed ground level features a garage with one parking stall available for guests, along with a spacious covered patio, backyard access, and our wonderful outdoor shower, perfect for rinsing off after a day at the beach. The backyard also features a swing set, giving younger guests a place to play. There are 13 steps from the ground level to the first floor and another 13 steps from the first floor to the second floor. Guests should be comfortable using stairs. First Floor: Bedrooms, Kitchen and Living This level features an open floorplan with comfortable living room with a flat-screen TV, gas fireplace, and built-in shelving. The open-concept kitchen and dining area featuring a large granite island, modern appliances, and a professional-grade six-burner Thermador stove with a flat-top griddle. It's perfect for cooking fresh lobsters or making pancakes on the griddle. It lead directly to a spacious covered deck with a dining table, chairs, gas grill, and beautiful ocean views. It's a wonderful spot for outdoor meals and evening gatherings. The first floor features two queen bedrooms and 1.5 bathrooms: Bedroom 1: Queen bed with an en suite full bathroom. Bedroom 2: Queen bed. Bathrooms: One en suite full bathroom and one half bathroom located near the laundry area. Second Floor — Bedrooms, Great Room and Ocean Views Upstairs, a bright and spacious great room offers another comfortable gathering area with a wall-mounted flat-screen TV and a fully equipped wet bar, including a sink, disposal, refrigerator, freezer, and instant hot water for tea. The ocean-facing sun deck has lounge chairs and a large, comfortable sectional. It's an ideal place to enjoy the sea views and ocean breeze. We also have a cozy sunroom, stocked with books, toys, and games for guests to enjoy. It also features a queen-size futon and blackout shades. The second floor features three bedrooms and two full bathrooms: Bedroom 3: Primary suite with a private full bathroom. Bedroom 4: Queen bed. Bedroom 5: Twin bed with a trundle. Bathrooms: One full bathroom in the primary suite and an additional full bathroom serving the other bedrooms. Outdoor Living With a covered dining deck, ocean-facing sun deck, terrace, ground-level patio, outdoor shower, and backyard swing set, there are plenty of places to enjoy the beautiful ocean views and fresh ocean air. Whether you're spending your days at the beach, preparing a seafood feast, or relaxing with a book, our home offers a wonderful combination of comfort, space, and coastal charm. House Rules We welcome exchange partners who will treat our home and neighborhood with care and consideration. No parties or gatherings. No dogs. We ask that exchange partners limit occupancy and visits to the members of their regular traveling group, as identified and approved in the PLU agreement. No additional guests or visitors are permitted without our prior approval. Thank you for respecting these guidelines and helping us maintain a peaceful environment for our neighbors. Not available June - September (we rent the house then... sorry :-()

Guest Access

Entry is on the ground level and then there are 13 steps up to the main living level. Ground level: one stall garage, entry hall, staircase to first floor (main living space). First floor: kitchen, dining room, living room with TV, and 2 bedrooms (one with en suite bath), laundry/power room Second floor: living room with wet bar, 3 bedrooms (2 queen beds, 1 twin trundle bed), 2 bathrooms, sunroom/office

Notes

You'll need a car. We ask that our guests leave the house as they found it. Cleaning in the off season: you are welcome to clean, or otherwise you can pay our cleaner $475 USD, cash. (sorry.... This is what our cleaner charges us). When using our sheets and towels, please wash them and put them back on the beds before you depart. Please plan in advance so that you have time to do this. If you don't feel that you can do this, then you can rent sheets and towels from our linen service. Their price is $225.USD paid directly to them. Cleaning in the Summer Season: If we are exchanging in the summer season (which is very rare for us) the mandatory cleaning fee is $475 paid directly to the cleaners in cash.

Neighbourhood

The house is located in historic Narragansett, Rhode Island. It's a short walk to Roger Wheeler State Beach, between Point Judith and the Port of Galilee with easy access to restaurants and the Block Island Ferry. 20 minutes from the University of Rhode Island.

Getting to my home

You can easily take Amtrak from Boston or from New York to Kingston Station. From there, you'd need to take an Uber to a rental car location. Driving, it's 3 hours from NYC on 95 North, and 1:30 from Boston going South.

Getting Around

You'll need a car, but you can walk to the beach and to restaurants.
