Neighbourhood
This is a lovely, green, family neighbourhood with a lot of outdoor activities to explore. Local parks for kids, and world class mountain biking trailheads are a few blocks away, also regular biking. Famous Lynn Canyon Park or Lynn Headwaters Park are also just a few blocks away. Within 10-30 min drive are many more treasures - Capilano suspension bridge, local mountains (Cypress, Grouse and Seymour), ocean, beaches and commercial hubs with wonderful cafes and restaurants to explore (sushi and salmon!!).
It's also an easy drive into Vancouver (20 min), or take the 'Seabus' from Lonsdale Quay across the water straight into downtown Vancouver.
30-90 minutes away you can explore famous Whistler up the coast (with many stops along the way), or hop on a ferry to explore the local islands.
Nearest airport
YVR is 45 min drive. You can rent a car or taxi/ uber.
Getting Around
You can walk to local hikes and conveniences such as coffee shops and local shopping.
However, you will likely want a car to do shopping and explore everything the North Shore has to offer and also to go into Vancouver. There are several mountains and fun neighbourhoods nearby, the coast for beaches or water sports, or drive up to Whistler.
