General overview

Spacious 1-bedroom apartment in the heart of a very cute, walkable neighbourhood (between Little Italy and Mile End). I love my area and I love my city so I'm happy to chat about recommendations! I have a desk area set up if you need to work while away, a washer-dryer in unit, 2 cute juliette-doors. I have lots of plants and books!

The space

The apartment has a lot of open space, walking in to the Kitchen and then dining and den area. Personally I love having a lot of open space for doing movement practice but if you prefer a different setup, feel free to move some furniture around too if it's a longer stay. There is one closed bedroom that

Guest access

The apartment is up one flight of stairs.

Notes

* I'm currently changing up the space, so inside pictures are to come as soon as my furniture is delivered! My apartment is on a relatively busy street. If you are very sensitive to sound it might not be the best for you, but happy to talk more on it if it would help assess!

Neighbourhood

I'm located right between the historic and vibrant neighbourhoods of Little Italy and the Mile End. I'm a 15 minute walk to Jean-Talon market, or 15 minutes to the iconic Saint-Viateur Bagel (about 7 minutes by bike either way)! The area is extremely walkable and has something for everyone, especially great food, coffee, parks, sights, and cute shopping. I would recommend my place for someone who is travelling solo (or who might have someone join for a time) and wants to be in ~city~ experience. I think the best thing about it (though I think it's very cute) is the area and how accessible everything is! It really does give a bit of Europe in North America vibes. The best time of year is also the Fall, when the weather is just right,. the colours are gorgeous!

Getting to my home

My home is about 30 minutes drive from the airport, 30 minutes on public transport from the VIA Rail Train station and bus station. There is street parking but you need to double check the signs to avoid a ticket!

Getting around

Overall, Montreal is rather accessible by walking, biking or on public transit. A car would not be vital! The neighbourhood I am in is especially walkable and bikeable - theres a lot to do within even just a 30 minute walk radius. There is also bike-sharing (BIXI), and I can leave my helmet out too if you'd like - a lot if accessible by bike, a bike path starts just down the street that leads downtown. The bus stop in front of my place brings you downtown in less than 30 minutes. The closest metro station is about 10 minutes walk away, and from the metro you can easily get to all the sights (Olympic Stadium, Old Port, Notre-Dame Basilica, etc.)
