Neighbourhood

Our home is a few blocks from downtown. We know our neighbors well and enjoy our community of older adults who live on our street. At times, cars and walkers will pass through on our street, and we usually just greet them with a simple wave.

Nearest airport

For flights, the best airports to fly into are the Charlotte (CLT) airport -55 miles away or Asheville (AVL) -52 miles. Charlotte is the closest international airport but a direct drive to our home. You will find Asheville to be a much smaller and accessible airport (with a number of budget deals on flights.)

Getting Around

Guests can walk three blocks to explore downtown. Stores such as Aldi or Walmart are less than a mile away, but we would suggest having a car for these trips. You are welcome to use our bikes to explore the area as well- just let us know if this is a desire of yours.
