Neighbourhood

Rotterdam is now known for it's modern architecture, but our house is situated in an area where most houses were build around 1900. The neighborhood (Kralingen) itself is even much older; there is even a Dutch saying about it: "as ancient as the road to Kralingen" It is known as the best neighborhood of Rotterdam and has many beautiful houses and streets. Grocery stores, bakery and some very good restaurants are around the corner. The street our house is in is a one way street, which makes it a calm and child friendly street, there is also a playground just down the street. Kralingen is also known for its nice recreational area; The Kralingse Bos, which houses a large recreational water, a small forest and a big park. There are 2 pancake restaurants, an animal farm, a kiddy pool, multiple playgrounds and it is a favorite spot for running.

Getting Around

You are welcome to use our bikes (with child seats if needed) to get around in the city. Everything is closeby! We can also provide a public transport card, which will give you significant discount on all busses, trams and metro. A tram and a metro stop are just a few minues away!
