Neighbourhood
I’m sure that you will be just like I am, under the spell of the Quartier de la Roquette, which is like a small village in the city of Arles. La Roquette is the historical district of fishermen, along the Rhône river. You’ll have such a good time strolling along the flowery pedestrian streets, admiring old charming houses, lazy cats and luxurious hôtels particuliers ... After your discovery day you will be pleased to get back to the calm and have a drink under the plane trees of the Place Paul Doumer, or join the pink rooftop enjoying a nice provençal apéritif. You can walk to the district of the Forum and to the arenas quite nearby , just like to the museum of Antique Arles, Réattu museum, Van Gogh foundation, and other monuments - cryptoportiques, ancient theater, chapels and churches... You won’t even need a car ! Arles will seduce you by its relaxed rhythm of life and art de vivre, its incredible historical heritage and its cultural excitements. It always happens something there! The Rencontres photographiques, the Festival Les Suds, the cultural LUMA program... You will also love the Férias .
Getting around
Arles is 25 miles from the wild beaches, les Saintes Marie de la Mer, from the natural regional park of the Camargue , 13 miles from the Alpilles , unless 25 miles from Avignon and Nîmes (by car, by train or by bus ). The railroad station is 20 minutes on foot of the house by following the Rhône, a very nice promenade. A free shuttle is also available or if you prefer, taxis-bikes Taco and Co.

I live in the North of France, but the house which I exchange is my holiday home, South of France . I travel most of the time alone. I am really fond of contemporary art, photography and culture - theater, opera, music, cinema - and I love city trips. During my holidays I wish to visit exhibitions and see some art. Sometimes I travel with one of my three children ( Louise 26/lambert 24/ Auguste 19 ) but it is rather rare. I bought not long ago this house in Arles, in Provence. Arles is an extraordinary place for tourism and culture, at the heart of Provence and of Camargue ... I like my house a lot and have taken care to decorate and make it nice to live; I will thus be very respectful of yours ! I am not very often there, so I want to share this attractive house in a charming historic & hip district and I wish to travel thanks to you with some joyful exchanges. It's a great opportunity of discoveries and enrichment. I wish to make some people happy in my house.
