General overview

We live in a beautiful, newly-renovated executive home in gorgeous Nelson, British Columbia. With panoramic views of the West Arm of Kootenay Lake, including the Big Orange Bridge (Bob), the mountains, and Kokanee Glacier, you'll never run out of breathtaking landscape to look at. 

Our home is a bright, large, 4-bedroom family-friendly house with 2.5 bathrooms, a large, new, and fully-equipped chef’s kitchen, a hot tub, 4 sundecks and everything you need to live well for a few weeks! 

The kitchen is large, bright, and brand new with a 36" gas stove, massive island with breakfast bar, wine fridge, and all of the equipment you need to cook gourmet meals. Sit down to those meals in our eclectic dining room that seats 6-8. 

Enjoy Pollinators Paradise - our beautiful walkout garden off of the kitchen that was planted to ensure there are always flowers in full bloom in the spring and summer. Watch the butterflies, hummingbirds and bumblebees from the back deck, and enjoy the hot tub, BBQ, dining area, and lawn in the back of the house. 

The front of the house boasts floor-to-ceiling windows to maximize the view from the living area. There you can find a fireplace, a large 60" smart TV (which you will likely not even turn on!), plenty of comfortable seating, and even an indoor swing. It looks out to the massive front sun deck, which has 2 separate seating areas as well as privacy from the neighbours. This is another viewing area for hummingbirds, woodpeckers, stellar jays, robins, and songbirds! Sit out there every evening and you'll most certainly see other local wildlife as well.   

The Master bedroom is nearly 500 sq ft, with a private full ensuite. Here you can find a comfortable queen-sized bed, another TV, and a seating area. The Master has a deck with a pretty little greenhouse on it overlooking the tiered garden. Enjoy some freshly picked strawberries while you relax in this tranquil setting. 

Downstairs, we have 3 bedrooms and a fully-equipped remote home office.

Bedroom 1: 2 single beds that can be converted to a King 
Bedroom 2: Twin bunk beds
Bedroom / Den 3: A space with a powder room and little deck off of it that we often use as a spare bedroom for guests - a Twin bed can be put in this room if need be!

We also have a convertible child's bed in the Kiddie Couch. The beds and rooms situation is flexible

Located on arguably the best view street in Nelson, we are in a lovely neighbourhood that is walkable to most amenities the city has to offer. 

Our home is about a 15-minute walk to Baker St (our town's main street) in one direction, and 15 minutes to the beach and park in the other. We are less than 5-minute walk to tennis and pickleball courts, ~7 minutes to Gyro park, and 10 minutes to the Rail Trail. 

Centrally located, well appointed and with breathtaking views!

Nelson, British Columbia is a world-renowned ski destination, with Whitewater Ski Resort a 15 minute drive away, and RED Mountain Resort in Rossland about an hour. In 2012, Whitewater in Nelson and RED in Rossland (a small city southwest of Nelson) were jointly voted the best ski locales in North America by the readers of California-based Powder magazine.

Ryan is a Marine Biologist, Sarah works in marketing, and we travel with our daughter Poppy (7), son Arlo (4), and 1-year-old Bengal cat, Rufus, who is a non-shedding cat!
